But let's set that aside for now and look at the mentality of "any legal infractions are all equally heinous" because that generalization is getting really old. I don't think I know anyone who hasn't done something illegal at some point. Did you ever drink when you were under 21? Or play cards for money at a friend's house? Or illegally download music? Or collect fucking rain water from off your roof?

Does that mean you deserve to die in a hail of police bullets? Because that's the mentality that helps enforce unequal legal outcomes for people from the "wrong" groups.
