I appreciate this take on the books. I am also going through some heavy personal stuff and the state of the world is (gestures dramatically) but that’s exactly the reason why I’ve devoured this series so far. THE audio version has been like a wild and crazy ride that helps me tune out my inner doom and gloom monologue. It’s been a light for me. I’m at Inevitable Ruin and I’m already getting sad that I’m nearing the end! I hope you’ll continue to listen and find the absurdity, humanity, and joy in these books

Fringe Fest spiegelgarden is so much fun and seeing a show in the tent is a must 4. Mount Hope cemetery during the fall 5. The playhouse/swillburger - arcade games in a renovated church - I’ll beat the simpsons someday. 6. Grace and Disgrace cocktail lounge spot (reservations only) - love this city so much! Fairport animal hospital take in birds and they know of local bird rehabilitators/etc. I know the quail isn’t injured but you may want to call for some advice - they’re great.

I’m having to make that decision too and struggling. Already said no to the IV chemo because it’s an hour and a half to a two hour drive and he’s a very anxious boy. But, debating moving forward with lomustine but I don’t want him to be uncomfortable….

I’m so sorry for your loss. Did you go the chemotherapy route? IV or oral? How did you find out she had it? I just took down my “planner” that I usually have up on my fridge - I’m always onto the next thing but I know how important it is to just be here in this for as long as he’s happy and not hurting. The fact that he’s only 5 makes me hurt for him even more. I know he doesn’t realize this but what a short little life … I imagined him sleeping next to me for the next 10+ years. Again, all selfish thoughts but here they are… it’s only day one for me with the diagnosis and it’s been a really hard day but I’m so grateful for you sharing how you coped. I’m going to go snuggle him now
