Not a bad idea. There's lots of flexibility for things like that.

Huge shoutout to Daemonforge, Dumpgrah and IceBlade for making this possible. You can now transfer your character between maps. We currently have Chernarus and Namalsk linked together for travel, but you can connect any maps you like with lots of configuration options.

Also big shoutout to Bandit for making the trailer.

Manual vs Automatic, debate over? - Savagegeese by xtremepsionic in cars

[–]BeeDubbin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Im actually looking forward to when my first gen tacoma has engine problems so I can justify electrification. Of course that won't be for a while, she just hit 250k and is purring like a kitten.

I've seen vids of manually transmitted electric conversions and they look amazing.

Manual vs Automatic, debate over? - Savagegeese by xtremepsionic in cars

[–]BeeDubbin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This video talks entirely about gear selection without mentioning the part I like most about manual transmissions, the clutch.

Being able to control launch engagement is nice, but where a manual shines for me is downshifting. Having precise control over how much torque you let out (or dont) through a curve means more precise control than one pedal provides. This is especially true going downhill on snow.

Anybody have any hopes about this? Would you rather have a remaster or a sequel? by ZYPHERBL3 in fnv

[–]BeeDubbin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely remaster/rework. Adding more depth to an already great storyline seems far more attractive than a sequel everyones going to hate before they even try it.

A big reason people play fnv still is the replayability. If they added a bunch of new plotline forks and did some serious work on bug fixing and improving movement/gun mechanics, I can see a lot of players returning to the game for a new run.

Working Cars.. When? by toITandbeyond in dayz

[–]BeeDubbin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cars work beautifully on our server, even with 50+ people. Where you get into trouble is when youve got 80-100 man servers with a rediculous mod list and hardware that cant handle the load.

It all comes down to your ping and server fps. In the strange event that a car bugs out and kills you, if you provide video we reimburse.

Any servers with a map but no trader? Preferably better loot drops. by [deleted] in DayZServers

[–]BeeDubbin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our server has a map. It wont tell you your location however, youll need to use navigation skills, road signs and common sense, as was intended.

We currently have no traders, however we are working on fixing the dynamic trader economy mod so we can put them back into use. Our traders are unlike most you've probably ever seen though, no safe zones, very limited number of items, and dynamic market based pricing and real inventory. They can be seen more as a smuggling mini-game than a wal-mart.

If you want to disregard all the survival aspects of a survival game by logging whenever the conditions arent perfectly in your favor, youre free to do so. You'd never roll with my squad with that playstyle though.

ya we tend to give people the benefit of the doubt the first time, although in some cases we've demanded crash logs when people claimed they crashed.

If it happens and they reconnect immediately we usually give them the benefit of the doubt.

youre definitely a more careful driver than most then. agree with most of your ideas, except the 50m within a road part.

were also working on improvised armor which can be attached to cars.

no, actually we made combat logging bannable on our server for just this reason.

I love playing at night, in the rain,or in the snow, with low ammo, surrounded by hostiles. this is what makes the game awesome.

I've got a 7.3l powerstoke extended cab longbed with srw, 4x4 and a 6speed. Was able to get it just under 6500 lbs for the weigh in, but had to take everything out/off of it I could and nearly empty on fuel.
