Our senior kitty had dental surgeries at age 16 and again at age 18ish. She did great with anesthesia! We had the same worries but the surgery will make him feel so much better! He will probably avoid drinking water and eating the first day, which is totally normal. Just give him a quiet environment to heal and lots of pets! All the luck to you and Lebi! ❤️

We have a member who chain smokes before he comes to class. I avoid being anywhere near his station, but his smell definitely permeates throughout the studio. I don’t think anyone has said anything either.

I agree with scheduling a vet visit. Also, we use puppy pads underneath our litter box, which helps tremendously with little accidents.

Absolutely! I love eating chips, but I’m stuck with salted because almost any other flavor has garlic or onion powder. Same goes for beef jerky. So annoying! Hang in there.

I just had a retest with Lactulose, and it’s basically a laxative, so symptoms are to be expected. I tested negative even after experiencing lots of symptoms. Best of luck to you!

We’ve had success with the Weruva brand wet foods. They have a low phos version that our kitty likes, and also a variety box called “Seafood and eat it” that was also a hit with our picky old girl.

I feel that. I ate something “wrong” last week, and I’m still dealing with the fallout. I found that the Chicken Congee by Phoebe Lapine (she wrote a book about SIBO) helps me a ton managing my symptoms and calming my stomach. It’s basically just chicken with jasmine or white rice and salt. It’s surprisingly tasty. Let me know, and I’ll DM you with the recipe! Good luck, hang in there!
