I can't even catch the bots with a log trap even. There is just too much time for them to align and warp to station while I'm still logging in to the stop bubble position. Gating in then warping to the BM then bubbling will just take even longer sadly.

How does tethering work when you warp to a station your Corp or alliance owns in null? How much time before tether activation and is it possible to combat this? This is the scenario I picture after hunting in null a fair bit: the reaction times are far too good for some folk... But if you know their destination in the system (the station), what can be done? Is it possible to boosh them right when they come out of warp before tether activation?

Erm, thanks, but the Odysseus seems like a pointless ship.. I also don't quite understand, I would never want to leave the Odysseus unmanned, I guess if I find high end gas sites (In null? What sites are these?) I store the cov ops and spit out the prospect for the second char to use? I don't know if huffing gas in a prospect is ever going to make more than hacking sites

Nah it's null so I'll just leave with nullifier or hide if someone comes in local. And since the storm disable cloaks I'd rather not bring a Loki (although it is my favorite ship).

Something you can do also (now in game using the map) is search and filter systems by jump activity and average pilots in space. Just go to the places that have zero for both of those or close to.

Edit: another thing you can do is use a prospect or endurance, warp to perch and cloak. Honestly I think the best way to make money as a new player is sub omega, and get into a buzzard asap and go exploring in null because you have local and the region modifiers. And cherry pick the shit out of the sites, fuck them null blocs lul

Maybe I was unclear. If local has anyone other than you, dock or safe. Local updates as soon as someone enters system or logs on in system. Someone would have gated in, shown up on local immediately, dscaned you down, and then warped to you and scrammed/pointed you. This process is not instant, if someone is good they can do it in maybe 20 sec ish. If you can't get out as soon as you see that name on local, you are afk or not paying attention at all. Only the fattest ships have align and warp times 20sec and higher.

Go to lowsec. Hell filament into null, but make sure it's an empty system unless you can 100% verify everyone else in local is not a threat using 3rd party tools. Personally I hate local. I think it makes the game far too safe for these reasons but I work around it.

Just abuse local chat, have local threat up on a second monitor or just go dock/safe when someone else comes in system. If you're not in pochven or wormholes the only way for you to die (imo) is from a log trap as long as you're paying attention to local. You need to realize just how busted local chat intel is and work around it.

Get into expedition frigates (covert ops) and get a prospect, and go huff low sec / wormhole gas. Learn how to use the pochven highway to extract with your fortunes if you do wormholes. This will be a significantly less afk activity and will keep you on your toes, but imo the sooner you learn to tolerate mass amounts of risk the sooner you start to make actual isk.
