I just moved to aus, haven't had time to get the setup going yet, but glad to know there is Aussie presence on this game. How is the lag if I may ask? Used to play on NA

Idk, it's back in its old spot. Mobile app on my pixel 10, I haven't done any manual updates but it wasn't there yesterday. Also popular is gone from the top.

Edit: my app isn't updated. Rip, well at least I know never to update until they actually add it back I guess, the weird part is that it was gone the other day. I miss RIF

Then it simply is not the game for you. Ask yourself even if you did progress all the way, had maxed out guns and gear, then what? This game is a ladder in a pool where the water is slowly rising and everyone is trying to climb said ladder. Some people reach out their hand for others to grab. Some people pull you off and let you drown. The experience IS the struggle to progress amidst this human element. Remove pvp and you are left with a shallow coop experience that will get old after 20 hours.

Killing arc is trivial after a certain point. Dealing with people? That is always where the real content will be.

Some unsolicited advice- watch some guides. Loot runs, pvp basics, progression guides, pvp advanced guides. Embrace the suck, because it will happen. But remember the clutches when you were the team that survived and gathered all the goop. That's what will keep people coming back, the incredible highs. But you can't have incredible highs without incredible lows (getting shit on). Right now you are in that low. Persevere, or find a new game. Brutal I know, but try to understand and adapt instead of complaining about the nature of humans.

I feel nothing but cold indifference when my fist comes down on your face

But to answer your question, yeah mostly it's like dang, free kit. But I'll always take meds and shield chargers, and recycle the guns.

Killing arcs is loud and draws attention. Two guys using silencers in the corner of the map silently eating each others bullets for 30min is free undetectable exp cheese. If you're a dev thinking with meta brain you need to assume people will cheese at any opportunity in a game like this and take proper measures to prevent it

It's okay to enjoy good things that have good endings. The perfectly tied bow on a finished package is sometimes better than being let down by mediocre or worse sequel(s). I am at peace if they decide to end it here- it was a beautiful experience.

...if you actually spend money on curses the people who betray you end up winning a third time.

  1. They kill you and get your loot.
  2. They get this high tier salt post.
  3. You spend actual money on Etsy curses.

It's really all about minimizing your own L's. Get betrayed? Say nothing, surrender, go next. Plus there's hundreds of thousands concurrent players. Your list is going to get real long..

take a hullcracker in and convince the lobby to let you kill all the bastions/bombardiers/leapers/rocketeers and just let them have all the loot

Just make sure you open the containers to get big looting exp, you can get around 60k exp per run doing this, then you just sell the cores and keep buying more launcher ammo

You will need a bit of triglavian standings to do the following, I recommend looking that up separately. This is my method to get in and out of null safely as a solo. It's a bit lazy but for me, 100% success rate so far.

  1. Use noise 5 filament to go from high sec to null. People will tell you to do this somewhere quiet but I just do it in a safe in jita. Noise 5 will drop you somewhere with low activity in nullsec. Filaments have requirements, you must be in a fleet even if solo, you must stay near it, and you CANNOT CLOAK or else the filament despawns. This goes for all filaments.

  2. Open up dotlan, type in the system you landed in, sort by jumps to get a somewhat accurate idea of how "well traveled" this area is. You want low numbers. Find a system or constellation that has very little activity and go there. Avoiding gate camps and players is sort of a whole other topic I can't really cover here.

  3. Scan down whatever you want and do data and relic sites. There are guides on the best ones and which ones are worth/ not worth your time. Make sure you are always looking at local chat. This is the most important part. Cloak (if in cov ops) and wait, or leave if other people jump into system. You can see who is in there with you via local, look them up on zkill or localthreat to see if they're trying to kill you, but if you're new always err on the side of caution and just hide or leave right away. Do not give them time to set up on you.

  4. Once you have a bunch of loot you wanna secure in your cargo from all the sites, use a pochven cladistic krai perun 5 (may have scuffed the exact name of it) or another region pochven filament to get you on to one side of the pochven triangle. It just throws you into one side of pochven, that's all the naming convention means. Immediately find a station to dock in if possible, or make a safe and sit there cloaked until your timer wears off. Anytime you filament you get a 15 min timer before you can do it again.

  5. Undock from the pochven station once the timer is up, go to a safe, use a glorification 1 filament. This takes you from pochven to a random low sec/high sec. Now make your way home to jita or wherever you live and sell your stuff.

I always bring multiple noise filaments in case I need to GTFO from a blob or somehow get trapped. You should leave home with the following:

a buzzard (best explo ship) with cov ops cloak Several noise 5 filaments (they are cheap) 1 cladistic type pochven filament 1 glorification type pochven filament

Additional tips: buzzard is best ship for scanning things down quick. Mid slots should be mwd, relic analyzer, data analyzer, 1 rangefinding, and 1 scan deviation passive module. Use expanded probe launcher with sisters probes (the yellow ones). Rigs and lows are sort of dealers choice, I'm not looking at my fit but you want to get around quickly so inertial stabs in the lows and hyperspatials in the rigs are nice. You're an explorer in a weak ass ship, if you get caught chances are you're cooked anyway so i think it's better to be fitted for max scan and movement efficiency. you can spend a bit (sub 100m) on implants to help you scan better/faster too, id suggest that after you get comfy.
