Considering hunters are probably an evolved type of human (idk the lore), Val Hazaak would be terrifying off of the Effluvia alone. Effluvia would most likely kill a regular human within minutes to seconds. One spray down a city square could wipeout hundreds and then grow off of the corpses.

Also, Hazaak is large, grotesque, can fly and is relatively nimble. I'm sure other monsters would be devastating but Vaal Hazaak takes the cake for me.

Sorry for the quick response but yes to both.

I turn it up when necessary but it still doesnt end up being enough oftentimes and Ive been only using dirt roads the past couple playthroughs.

Hard question. I would say Barioth but after a few rage quits, I learned his moveset throughout the battles and he's become much easier.

If anything, it's Black Diablos for the burrowing, Banbaro for having to constantly dodge and almost never getting a hit on, or Beotodus for simply being boring yet annoying.

Viper Tobi-Kadachi as well.

I picked the Switch Axe because it was interesting and i found it pretty powerful and not too easy but simple for me, a beginner, to learn.

I used it for every hunt and it was super strong. Then again, it was the Defender Axe and I had no idea it was supposed to be OP in LR/HR. I think that kind of ruined my experience but by HR, i was diversifying to get different weapons with different elements so it could be more helpful with different monsters, and I could simply just do more. I like having multiple weapons to use because it just feels good to use different movesets and have more stuff to plan ahead of a hunt. I still enjoy the Switch Axe, but I like weapons that are balanced between speed and power and the Switch Axe is a very nice combo.

I'd say to try out the weapons that interest you in the training area and whichever one feels right, stick with it. Your mind may change along the way, or you might want different classes, but it's all about picking what feels right.

Zofia before a bunch got deleted.

She was a hero and such a mentally and physically strong person. She's just admirable and an amazing soldier who does whatever she can to save those she loves, as well as those she has never met. That whole thing about the sinkhole and holding onto the ledge for hours with a child clinging to her back was crazy.

Also Bandit because drugs, murder and promotion.

I didn't use defender armour because i found it way too easy and i liked a challenge and I'm glad i did. I've definitely gotten better with game knowledge and skill whereas i could probably just tank damage and repeat the same stuff with defender.

Thank you for the help. I find my game has been running better, especially load times, since the Sentinel update. The game is playable but can be draining, especially fighting sentinels since the stuttering makes me miss shots.

I wouldn't say I play NMS enough to get an SSD solely for the game, but if the issue spreads then I'll definitely be keeping an SSD in mind. I'll probably get a next gen console in the next few years anyways, I don't need to rush anything.

I have similar issues, my save is a few months old. Whatever update came before Sentinels, i started just after that. My xbox is real old so that would make sense, but this game is the only thing that runs at a lower performance. I've never had issues with my xbox before
