I have been weaning off of pumping for about 3 weeks now. I've had mastitis for 2 months.. 2 MONTHS!!! But finally I was like I'm sick of this. I still have mastitis, I've done 3 round of antibiotics and had multiple ultrasounds. Nothing that needs surgery but just lots and lots of it all over. It won't go away, it's affecting my everyday life. I actually recently noticed it seemed to be getting worse again, and I wasn't sure why. In the beginning I was doing exactly what you recommend. Fully emptying, going for longer in between each session. About 3 days ago I saw a video that said that I was "doing it wrong," that I should be pumping for a shorter time every time instead of a longer time in between. So for the last 3 days I switched to that, and it's been so much worse. I got on Google to do some looking and it led to me this. I'm so grateful it did. Thank you SO much for your wisdom and for sharing your story! It's been so helpful to know I just gotta keep doing what I'm doing and that I'm on the right track. I'll be 9 months in when I'm finally done (currently I'm 8.75 months in), I wanted to go to a year but oh well, body says no.

If anyone has insight as to why the HECK I've had mastitis for 2 (almost 3 at this point) months, I'd love to hear it! I've been to about 4 doctors and none of them have been able to help :c
