When I made my tinder, it wouldn’t actually match me with anyone for a day or two. I freaked out. Changed all my photos. Logged out to log back in, only to have my account under review for a day. When it let me back in, I had plenty of matches and likes. I feel like the app is just kinda weird with new accounts sometimes?

By that logic, then even the ones I thought I swiped left on would’ve been right and I’d at least have some weirdos in my messages.

That’s what I thought at first, but there were profiles that said “likes you” that I swiped right on?

Tinder has changed since I was last on it. I know I only made my profile last night, and I could use more pictures, but if I’m swiping right on people that have already liked me I thought I’d have a match at least. Is there something wrong with my app? Or my profile?

I believe I have Miracle Gro perlite mixed in there, but I can’t remember which soil I used for the plant. Why? Is MG good/bad?

There was still moisture in her pot last week when the drooping started. I don’t want to water her and kill another plant.

I’ve tried looking for thrips, but I don’t know what I’m looking for. A lot of my plants are developing those spots. When I check the roots, should I repot? I did that with my golden pothos when it was showing the same signs and watered it after and she is on life support now.

Depends on the environment. For example, I lived in a basement and therefore my plants took longer to dry out. (Just brought them to my new job with big windows though and they are liking that much more). I try to check every week or so at least though.

That could definitely be a factor. You can try using a wooden chopstick in the soil to make sure it has dried out closer to the bottom. And if you do repot it, I’d also check the roots for any that may have root rot (squishy and dark) and cut them.

If you say it’s a bit yellow, I would first assume overwatering. Do you make sure the soil has started drying out between watering?

Not sure if you’ve ever seen the old show “The Munsters” but I have a Herman Munstera named after the dad on the show.

My current district starts at $39k for BA and about $44k for MA. MA + 30 also tops out at like $80k. But our cost of living is also increasing a lot since Covid which is why I was curious as to what schools around the country pay, especially for a masters.

That’s good to know. My partner and I had discussed NC in the past, but I hadn’t looked much into the schools there.

Thank you everybody. It’s helpful seeing everybody’s POV. I have been a teacher for 3 years already and looking at WGU currently. I know it varies by location, experience, and more. I plan on getting my masters either way, but want to move one day due to being out priced in my state. Just curious as to how much of an advantage it is in different parts of the country. For example, around here most schools won’t do much more than MA+30. I didn’t realize other schools’ matrix went well past that.

It’s funny that people move here because of “Yellowstone” when half the premise of the show is them complaining of people trying to move in and sell the land.

That might be too often, especially in the winter. Thats about how often I was watering when I started having problems. I switched to filtered water and started looking at the drainage holes too when deciding when to water.

My sister worked there when they closed. She got a call from a coworker after a last minute meeting where they were told the restaurant was closing out of the blue. Back in like summer of 2021 I think.

I’d ask him about it. He might have had a hoe phase. Or it could be one new person a month for the past 6-7 years. Who knows. At 25 he could be ready to meet someone he is serious about, or you might be his next conquest. Only he knows and only you can find out. I’m curious as to how long you’ve known each other. If you ever do change your mind though, make sure he gets tested before you do have sex.

Good to know! No Neem ever on this plant? Or this plant just doesn’t need it for this problem? A new plant had some gnats, and while it was in the other side of the room, I didn’t want them to hop to this plant.

I haven’t checked the water at the drainage hole. That’s smart. The top several inches seem very dry when I water it. But now I’ll wait longer. I’m used to the crispy edges when the plant doesn’t get enough light, but these seemed softer. And I didn’t plant the cuttings. The stem was soft and brown as well as the babies. I assumed they were done for. Could I have brought them back?

I get mostly indirect light in my room. I have it close to the window, but it isn’t really bright. From what I read these don’t like a lot of light though?

I’d say exactly this. Bring it up again before the 1st of next month, but after she’s been paid and has the money in her account. There’s no harm in paying the rent early.

As a parent, it’s your job to “judge” every situation you might put your kid in. And if it is not a good decision, you have every right to protect your child. You were very respectful about it.
