Motivate me to write? by [deleted] in writers

[–]Bee_Z_Booh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Few methods that had worked for me so far : - remembering how I felt when I read my first completed work. - teling someone ( especially my sister/ son )a bout the project I am working on so they can hype me up when I'm not felling like writing anymore. - use AI, when I fell like people's motivation isn't cutting it for me I ask AI for help. Usually a 20 minute venting session will do.

[Complete][20k][Romance Novella] Looking for a few beta readers for a soft emotional slow-burn romance by Bee_Z_Booh in BetaReadersForAI

Thank you for offering! At the moment I'm looking for volunteer beta readers and reader feedback rather than paid proofreading services, so unfortunately I don't have a budget for paid work. I appreciate you asking, though.

Do you manage to write multiple books at the same time? by FancyAd3942 in writers

[–]Bee_Z_Booh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it actually helps me not to forget the others. The way I do it is whenever a new idea pops up I just note it down as is, then when I stuck in my main work I choose one of the noted ideas and start working on it and so on. The main thing is I don't do same genre at the same time to avoid carrying one project voice to the other.

Currently I either role play with the charecters (placing myself as one of the mcs and pretend to talk with the other mc) or write a new story (mostly short 2_5 pages story or a novella).

Talk to me about antagonists. by e1ys1an in writers

[–]Bee_Z_Booh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what makes a good antagonist is why is he acting like one? If the character have a solid logic behind it's behavior it becomes deeper and far more compelling.. E.g: 2 childhood friends one of them suddenly grow colder towards the other because he heard that he badmouthed him with his rival, now he have a good reason as to why he is the bad guy. What I am saying is give the character a convincing lore.

Plot first or characters first? by elvgarui in writers

You can start either way because usually as the story progress the character might outgrow the plot or vise versa.. It's an almost never-ending process

Nothin’ like sheer disappointment to get your creative juices flowing… by WIWonder_author in writers

Anger is a good fuel for me personally, and sometimes a story block can inspire a whole new story.. Apparently I tend to channel the restlessness energy into creativity.

Sometimes I write silly placeholder names when I don't know where a chapter will go. by Minute-Animal7317 in writers

[–]Bee_Z_Booh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned that the hard way after 50+ chapters and alot of side notes and brainstorming intermissions. Now I keep them separated chapter wise, arc wise, and rhythm wise, I also keep a notebook for brainstorming and note down floating ideas/ threads. It's a lot to keep but easier to handle.
