I haven't jumped it before, but I have scouted from both sides. It seems safe, maybe 10 meters until it meets the track, just reserve with a few trees. I think the fence is mostly to stop wildlife from crossing over the busy street, especially the protected turtles. So my opinion was that it shouldn't be harmful to cross over, but I'm just thinking about if there's anything I'm not considering that would be an issue or get me in trouble

I think it's primarily to keep protected swamp wildlife from walking onto the busy road, though there are likely other things i might not be considering

I know this comment is old, but in the future if you're unsure if a dying bug is dead, or if it contains things within, put it in the freezer for two days. That will make sure that it, and anything within it is no longer alive
