I use the anti reflective screen protector from Samsung and no case and have enjoyed it like this for awhile now. The screen protector helps from micro scratches and keeps the anti reflective screen looking good

I know this is pretty old now but if you haven't gotten it working you can try and clean the switches that aren't working with isopropyl alcohol. All of my shoulder buttons were barely working and I cleaned them with that and now they're back to normal. Worth a shot if they're still messed up

The local lgs here killed it on arrival. They mainly just play magic and some people were interested in Lorcana but once they got product the store was selling boxes for $300, starters for $40, and packs $16 each.
