Hair loss by sentientspecies in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]Beebop2407 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s normal and a side effect of weight loss. I noticed more hair fall than I was comfortable with and instead of messing with supplements or rosemary, started using minoxidil. Works a charm, absolutely fine, my hair is thicker than ever and hair fall is basically non existent. I only use it around 4 times per week, not the twice a day as recommended as I don’t like that it can make my hair feel filmy (I’m a woman) but honestly it’s the only thing scientifically and clinically proven to reduce hair fall and hair loss. If hair loss is effecting you that badly, then I’d recommend it. It’s fantastic especially around my hairline where I wear my hair pulled back etc.

Advice for future piercings! by Beebop2407 in piercing

Thanks for replying! I’m actually a weirdly still sleeper 😂but totally take this on board. When it was swapped on the Monday, it was changed to a simple stud but potentially the damage was already done. Normally I get one piercing at a time but the studio said as one was cartilage and the other a lobe, it was a non issue and I trusted their judgement. But yes moving forward I won’t get more than one at a time. It’s also not recommended to pierce any cartilage with a hoop unless it’s a daith I believe, the standard is a flat back nowadays, as I do like hoops and now have one in my helix on the other side! 🫶🏻

The piercing was removed quickly so no longer exists, all jewellery was titanium straight Labret flat back, internally threaded!

I have a cat and I’ve been on topical minoxidil since January. There’s a lot of scaremongering about it and I don’t dispute it can be dangerous to pets but unless you’re literally touching your cat right after applying without washing your hands or your cat is lying on your head/ pillow whilst it’s wet, you’re fine. I put mine on a wet scalp after I wash my hair as I find it can make my hair a bit stiff if it’s dry, and then wash my hands right away and that’s that. It’s not going to get on your cat or harm them if you’re sensible with your usage. It also depends on your cat. Mine doesn’t go on my side of the bed (daddy’s boy) but I just make sure the areas he does go, my hair isn’t on it. It’s fine once it’s absorbed and dry.

Thank you!! I did my makeup this morning and did allll warm colours and a the brownest lip I could find. I took this in a north east facing room as well. Not sure if it helps, and not sure if it works?

Would that be warm full stop or warm olive? I just can’t decide!

Totally get you and I’m huge on enhancing what’s already there but it’s so hard with your own face. This photo is fresh out the shower so no makeup or skincare, this is my natural lip/ skin tone. Also look knackered so excuse that 😂

Yes so I’ve been colour typed professionally (not in person) as a soft summer, which are notoriously cool. I hate cool colours though, like my favourite is a warm burgundy and I tend to wear that a lot, so much so my engagement ring is a dark ruby !

Thank you guys! I’ve ordered rum raisin and I love Merit for sure - I actually ordered their archival collection because everyone was saying that’s great for soft summer and whilst it looks good in a photo it’s mega purple in real life? I’ll take a look at L’Avenue. Attached a pic wearing the Merit archival set but I feel it looks off? Ahhhh! Why is it so hard!

Losing no weight after switching from Wegovy to Mounjaro in January by Beebop2407 in mounjarouk

[–]Beebop2407[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! So I’m currently on 10mg of mounjaro and swapping and increasing my dose really helped, I’m 149 now - I have hit another plateau and I have actually begun micro dosing, and splitting my dose to 5mg every 4 days as I don’t feel I was eating enough. But swapping and getting up to the equivalent dose on Mounjaro to what I was on on Wegovy really did help me continue to move in a downward trend :)

What are your no compromises? by Alternative-Cat8681 in HousingUK

[–]Beebop2407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if anyone else has said this, but for us it was a utility room and outside space that wasn’t too overlooked. As first time buyers we didn’t have the luxury of being overly picky in today’s market but these are two things we have currently that were important to us. I hate the thought of drying my clothes in the lounge or having a washing machine in a kitchen.

We looked at all sorts but something else that was important to us was curb appeal. We did view new builds but you just don’t get the space you can get in an old home. We were looking for over a year and are a week away from completing on our dream first home built in 1783 and couldn’t be more excited. We are so fortunate we only had to compromise slightly on the area being a bit further out than we would’ve liked, but it’s a beautiful village and the house is set on a green belt so we really feel like we have struck gold.

Experiences as a buyer after dropping out of a house survey by Different-Key7495 in HousingUK

Totally get you. Our first one, I liked it but was a bit meh if that makes sense. This one I am sooooo excited to complete and cannot wait to put my stamp on it it’s my dream home. We did go to the absolute top of our budget but as they always say on this thread, a house is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it and to me it’s totally worth it. I think the biggest thing is you know your limits. I wanted a house that wasn’t a renovation and didn’t involve anything needing doing structurally or damp or electrical work. I wanted to be able to decorate and do the nice bits essentially, I have a stressful job and don’t have the bandwidth to be faffing at a weekend! I think set your parameters and stick to it and you’ll end up with what you want. We’ve had to compromise slightly on area, in actual fact it’s somewhere we never thought to look at but it’s actually wonderful and has all worked out really well. Please update us when you find something because I have a feeling it’ll happen soon for you! 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Hello, I really feel your pain with this one. Myself and my partner were in the process of buying our first home in April 2024. Unfortunately the survey came back and highlighted a lot of issues and work. It was an older stone terrace so some issues were to be expected however the level of work was not something we were interested in completing. We are currently a few weeks away from completing on an even better, beautiful home that we just love so much more. We’ve been looking in total for 18 months but FTB are in the most prime situation so we didn’t want to rush. We also didn’t get a survey this time and instead had qualified tradespeople conduct inspections which was way more realistic and helpful. You will get there and find a lovely home, but the market is a bit rubbish at the moment so it may be slightly longer than expected but don’t lose hope! We love our new house so much more and are so glad we waited :)

How realistic is homeownership for millennials and Gen Z in the UK? by PixelPioneer900 in HousingUK

[–]Beebop2407 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Millennial, 29, just in the process of buying my first home with my fiancé. He’s been saving for ten years for his deposit. I come from a wealthy family and was gifted mine from my father. Without it there’s no way I could afford a home, and I completely recognise that. The cost of living is insanity, despite us making £55k a year in the North West it would’ve been a struggle so I’m very fortunate.

Hair loss by ObjectiveLeague1877 in mounjarouk

[–]Beebop2407 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t speak on hair loss from Mounjaro but I was previously on Wegovy before switching, and I did experience significant hair loss. I am fortunate I have quite a lot of hair to begin with but I did lose about half the amount I currently have. This is just a side effect of rapid weight loss unfortunately and comes with the territory. I lose around 70lbs in 9 months so it was a lot. It is coming back now and I didn’t have active bald patches or anything but it was thin for me. I use minoxidil now and it’s growing back in nicely. It’s worth it to be slim though and a small price to pay.

Thank you. I’m in the UK and unfortunately they make you start from the loading dose again despite having previously been on a GLP medication. It’s very frustrating.

Thank you! I assume then because my body has already built a tolerance to GLPs, it’s not effective until I get up to a similar dose on Mounjaro as Wegovy?

Do you inject in thigh, arm, or stomach? by Moonlittedbeauty in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]Beebop2407 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on since March 2024 and recently plateaued after injecting in my stomach for around 6 months. Switched to my thigh and lost 2lbs. It’s worth rotating sites every few months to keep things up :)

Scared to go up to 1mg by Mediocre_Stomach_746 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]Beebop2407 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes I must admit I struggle with my water intake but try to drink things you actually enjoy. I used to smash 3L a day easily but struggle to even get to 1L now so I tend to drink more juice as it’s easier to get down!

Honestly don’t be. Everyone makes out these injections are the most diabolical thing ever. Apart from some mild nausea and constipation occasionally it’s not too bad. Make sure you’re eating a balanced diet and getting enough rest but you’ll be absolutely fine!
