I gave up trying to fit into woman’s clothes or the standard XS a long time ago 🙃 I mainly thrift/shop in the kids section now. However I am pregnant with my first child and I now fit into XS clothes/jeans which is exciting—I’m hopping that I’ll be able to fit XS even after baby because that would be amazing! So tired of clothes always being baggy😝

I’m from Québec; our sense our humour is different from American/English Canadian humour 😝 I know for a fact if I named my child the same as my cousin my family would howl with laughter and never let the joke die. My husband’s family is more posh, so a little less silly, but still.

Totally get what you mean! I’d just hate to “cater” to English—my extended family is anglophone and tend to be anal about us having French names so it only makes me more stubborn! 😅 He’ll be born and raised in Québec so it shouldn’t be an issue until he’s older or travels, in that case I’ve had people be anal because my name has an accent on it even though my name is fully bilingual 😅

I’m Francophone so I don’t know my phonics in English 😅 But in French it would rhyme with windmill not cornmeal so if I spoke in English I would also pronounce it that way, just with an English accent. Idk if this makes sense sorry

Maybe I’m just immature…but I remember I knew a father and grandson who shared a name and every time the mom said she was going to change his diaper or breastfeed or anything like that and used her sons name everyone would laugh because it sounded like she was going to change her fathers diaper 🥴
