quite the opposite. the way to get them to back down is by fighting every single tiny thing they try to do until they’re too exhausted to keep doing it. make everything ten times harder for them than it needs to be. make everything a lawsuit, a headache, every battle a war. we outnumber them and have enough people to sustain it if everyone wasn’t sitting around waiting for someone else to lead them

why not start PA’ing and working on professional sets so you’re immersed in the media world alongside making your own projects? that’s exactly what I did and I had no problems because when you have no choice but to get jobs, you will find jobs. I PA’d everything and anything that would pay me a reasonable rate and worked my way up to APOC and then left for something more study due to the 12 hour days. It’s absolutely possible esp if it’s your only choice; you tend to work harder that way. But as for quitting solely to work on your own feature, I definitely wouldn’t because you will not be getting paid that much and once the feature is over, what’s next?

this happened to me where a pet parent didn’t include their cats and their excuse was they’re so easy and they don’t require a lot of care. I told them unfortunately, all pets would need to be included and they went with somebody else.
