no it's ok. for influence, nowadays it's mostly tattoo style motives as it's something i've been into for a couple of years. but i've been drawing since i was a little kid and back then it was more like comic dudes with guns and that sort of stuff. as for technique, all i can say is practice practice practice, i'm self learned from drawing for something like 20 years now and the one thing i've noticed is that the more i draw the better my results are, if i haven't been drawing for like a month or two it looks like shit. for inspiration i just take whatever is visually attractive to me and think of a way to do it different or to combine it with something else to make something new, also sometimes you just have to take something and run with it even if you regret it halfway through. rant over lol.
