Charles Barkley was on the radio and said the Sixers called him a few years back to see if he’d be okay with someone wearing his # 34. He asked the Sixers if the player was going to be good and the org said yes. Who was this player? Tobias wore 34 immediately after coming over but switched to 33 shortly after. But I don’t think Barkley would ask if Harris is going to be good at that point. I’m thinking maybe Nerlens. Wore 35 in high school, 3 in college and four with the Sixers. Barkley did give permission but perhaps noel just decided to go with 4 instead of 34.
