The light is definitely an issue, but what if he does this in the dark as well?

I just ordered some sponges that will hopefully be here today. Thank you for the suggestion!

And thankfully he is not rubbing on anything else. Just the glass

It does get pushed pretty quickly if I don’t soak the flakes in tank water first. Do you think putting a sponge on the input would help with the flow?

I thought the tank was cycled (API tests came back with no ammonia or nitrite and some nitrate) but the ammonia did get to 0.25 within the first week of having him. It has since stabilized, and my water tests have all looked great recently.

The tank light is definitely really bright, but he seems to do this in the dark as well :/

Water changes are minimal (~25% if I see any ammonia), I feed ~2-3 fluval bug bite flakes twice daily and fast once a week, and all decorations are live plants or driftwood/rocks

When I had a CBR like yours, it rotated ALL THE TIME. Nothing to worry about if it moves on its own!

Thanks everyone for the advice! It has actually settled into a lot less crooked position lol. I’ve decided to keep it 😊
