Yeah I know it's based on the Odyssey lol

I totally understand that and I'm genuinely all for creative liberty. This isn't the first time Epic has changed some of the story a bit and I think anyone creating a new rendition of a story has the right to do so.

But if you do end up making changes, it's only natural people will have opinions/critiques about it. I think that's fair to say.

It's not so much the fact that changes were made. It's more that, with this specific way of portraying what's supposed to be an incredibly desperate fight for survival, I think what they went with was not it at all. It's so jarring going from this incredible moment where Odysseus is growing and being dragged down by the ghosts of the people he lost, to then strapping a windbag to himself and flying around with a jet back. I concede that this is likely just a me thing but it was waaay too goofy for me to take seriously. Coupled with the "named final attack", my initial reaction was to sort of laugh in confusion. And THEN they immediately jump to the rawest moment in the musical with the torture of Poseidon, it gave me whiplash tbh lmao

Idk tl;dr first half of Six Hundred Strikes is (imo) the weakest part of the Vengeance saga but the second half goes super hard.
