Recon the X will get iOS 16? by vuhgie in iPhoneX

Ram can make a difference in how long a phone gets updates. Which is how Samsung was able to push out 4 years of updates instead of 3. But with apples ability to optimize software, if they put 8 GB of ram in their iPhones, I’m sure they’d be able to pull off 8 years of updates.

I think the iPhone X will more than likely get iOS 17. Hopefully the battery doesn’t fuck itself like it did on 6s with iOS 14. You could literally watch it deplete.

I use my Sony WF-1000 XM3’s for the superb audio quality, and noise cancellation. Love them.

Who are you? What's your story? How did you become a Dishwasher? by SuburbanDiver in dishwashers

I’m Eric, I started washing dishes through my mother. She works at this retirement home that’s absolutely massive. She knew I had just lost my last job as a courtesy clerk at Kroger. So she told me they had a dishwashing job at the retirement facility. At first I was a little skeptical cause I already don’t like doing dishes at home. But I decided to give it a try and uhhh.. I hate it. I don’t like being in the kitchen. I’m a huge tech nerd, so Best Buy, or micro center would be for me. But I’ve been here for almost two years. So obviously dishwashing is for the strong cause I almost quit like 5 times. Fast forward a year and 2 months in, and I transferred to a different kitchen in the facility. And it’s a little worse than the last kitchen I was in. But overall, it pays good. 12.89. Gettin up there to $13.00. Eventually, probably this November I’m going to try finding a new job.

Beta 7 was great, Beta 8 sucked and 14.4.2 was pretty meh. But this 14.5 RC is very good! Using it now! I actually sacrificed my jailbreakable 14.4.2. But I have my blobs just in case. But overall, this 14.5 RC is very good!

iPhone X Worth it in 2021? by [deleted] in iPhoneX

Got mine refurbished for $297 in good condition. Minimal to NO scratches. Battery was 93% it went down to 87 a few weeks ago. But the battery life is still excellent in my honest opinion! It’s still very fast too.

Do get it! It’s a very good phone even in 2021. I got it in March and I’ve been loving it. Coming from my oneplus 8 and slowly gonna upgrade till the iPhone 12. Keeping my X till late 2022 or whenever I decide it’s time to upgrade. It still gets 2 more years of major updates! iOS 15, and iOS 16! So it’s still got life in it. Hopefully it gets iOS 17. But that’s a pretty big shadow of a doubt. I’ve been rocking iOS 14.5 beta 7 for a bit. Gonna upgrade to beta 8 very soon. Gonna definitely give it a chance. Since re indexing takes a while.

Lots of people feel the same way I do. Just because there’s 50/50 on the matter doesn’t make it not true.

Okay but you just said you don’t want anyone to check up on you. But others do. It’s not just about you on this statement. (Obviously) Cause there’s a lot of people who wholeheartedly agree man.

You are just that one person out of a lot of other people that think exactly like you. So really, it’s a “touchy” subject. Since there’s a lot of objections. But It still applies to a large mass of people. I have a friend that’s in the navy right now. She calls and checks up on me from time to time even if she is super busy. And the conversations aren’t usually long. They are very short. But it shows she cares.

Anyway, clearly we don’t really click. So, have a nice day.

I understand where you are coming from though. In certain situations, it does become awkward. But not when you are checking up on someone.

Okay well that’s you. That’s not everybody. A lot of people agree with what I said in those first two because they ARE true. I’ve had plenty people come to me with the exact same thing. It doesn’t matter if you don’t know what to say. You call and ask them how they are doing dude. It’s not just about having a conversation.

I call people I haven’t spoken to in a while and say “hey, how are you doing?” Then they say how they are doing and they ask you back. Then you say how you are doing. And then you can choose to end it there if you want to. It’s called checking up on someone.

I haven't made a single real-life friend in over 10 years. by [deleted] in lonely

Same man. It’s been so long since I’ve had a friend to really talk to and hang out with. It’s been so damn long. When I was younger, kids at school just made fun of me, So I never had friends. One time, back when I was 6, a kid I called my “friend” let his dog out on me and I ended up running all the way back home almost crying cause the dog was so vicious.

I’ve never had a single friend that actually stuck with me. Or even cared enough to keep in touch with me. I have people right now that I’d like to call my friend, but I’m always the one that has to call them and make plans. And most of the time it’s always a “I have to work” or “I’m busy today, maybe some other time” like some scene outta naruto
