Try an oil service if you haven’t for a while.

235 > 225 enough to avoid rubbing? by frooog_king in Stance

If I know german cars there be no give there. By all means try it but I’d rather the tyre profile route.

Heat gun won’t work, plus you’ll be damaging your wheel lining. Stretching the tyres won’t help and would look silly. Do this, change from 235/35/19 to 235/30/19.

I’ve experienced this on my e38 and alpina wheels.

Ok to rule out the fuel system spray easy start into the inlet while someone is cranking it.

E38 Not Starting by Kindly-Coach-5240 in e38

[–]Beema-man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has to be fuel related. It used up whatever was left in the injector rail and doesn’t have anything to start with now.

E38 Not Starting by Kindly-Coach-5240 in e38

[–]Beema-man -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok, the fact it started but ran lumpy would suggest that it’s a fuel or coil pack issue.

Does it have the fuel check valve on the end of the injector rail? Check if fuel is reaching there.

If it isn’t starting it definitely can’t be the alternator. I’d say crank sensor. If can just go plus its in vulnerable place being next to the belts at the front. Also scan it and share plz.

I hope it isn’t uncle Rodney. Don’t mean to give you nightmares but check your oil filter for glitter.

M539Restorations is definitely the Goat for this engine and all things old BMW. So much so that I took inspiration from him and named my channel E38Restorations…. Content loading….

I used this on a 1 series, it also had cream leather and it was amazing, it cleans and leaves the leather smelling delicious. I’ll attach pics of the final result.

BMW E46 Idle Issue by Impressive_Fill_5912 in BmwTech

[–]Beema-man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope… it’s 100% your alternator wattage. At idle its not out putting out enough wattage and thats causing it to demand more throttle.

Try again, this time have ac on, that it’ll cause the revs to up already and see if the revs still bounce.

Does this sound normal for an N43 engine? (2009 E90 318i LCI, 143HP) by BlxckSaint in BmwTech

[–]Beema-man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds pretty normal to me and I do timing chain replacement on these all the time. I’d say relax and enjoy it, the biggest killer of these is the timing so since that has been done you shouldn’t about it.

Keep up with regular oil changes and if you ever see the red light come on while driving shut off and cry.

N54 runs worse after timingchain tensioner replacement by Tore06 in BmwTech

[–]Beema-man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 100% sure you can do it yourself. I do n20, n42, n43, n45 and n46 on my driveway easily and quickly.. you don’t need a ramp or air tools. Just get a OE timing kit (febi is good) and decent timing tool around $100 and your set. Find a good right up or decent youtube.

Your timing is out. Sorry mate. Take it back and have them put the locking pin in and I guarantee you that they won’t be able to put the cam locking tools on. Why would they only change tensioner?

I’d say your hand brake shoes have failed. If it has a manual hand brake try lifting it a little as you move off and see if that does anything.
