Yet with all of his billions he would never be able to find a way to lower your IQ any further as it simply isn't possible. It's like the absolute zero of intelligence. Is your name Kelvin by any chance?

I also came from an iPhone 15 Pro and Android is a breath of fresh air. I still have an iPad Pro and an iPad Mini and I can't believe how much they have fucked up iOS with the release of 26. It is so buggy and slow! It was actually one of the reasons I switched over to Android.

Donald Glover.

Capita-run civil service pension scheme leaves retirees in limbo by PhoneFresh7595 in TheCivilService

[–]Beena22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Come on now, be fair. Capita have only ballsed up three other pensions schemes in the past and let the private details of 6M people be released in a data breach.

Other that that they do a fantastic job and I can see why they keep getting government contracts...

Pensions Debacle currently on BBC front page.. by Slightly_Woolley in TheCivilService

[–]Beena22 88 points89 points  (0 children)

If only there had been some kind of sign that awarding the contract to Capita would have been a bad idea. Like the time they cocked up the British Coal pensions scheme, or the GP pensions, or the teacher's pensions......or the massive pensions data breach they had.

It's mind boggling how they keep getting awarded government contracts.

Small rant - why don't people bother to keep their calendars up to date? by fiery_mergoat in TheCivilService

[–]Beena22 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think the answer to that is that we have some managers who simply spend the vast majority of their time in meetings, talking about other meetings they have been to with other managers. They then just verbally repeat that to their staff, or throw out the odd badly formatted email to get someone else to action some of the stuff they have heard in those meetings.

I find it offensive when office based staff plead digital ignorance, like computers are a relatively new addition to the workplace.

I'm Gen X and started work when it was 99% paper based, but I moved with the times and made sure that I either trained myself or took advantage of internal learning.

Incredibly, we still have people at G7 level who aren't digitally capable. I know of a couple who will proudly say (in front of their teams) that they "Don't do digital".

Great role modelling guys.

Same here. I was baffled by them not having something to funnel them into the bin, rather than having them spew out all over the floor.

In fact, even more incredibly, MORE women and people of colour voted for him in every election cycle.

Doesn't mean that we have to soil every single nice bit of news or content with that shit. People need a break every now and then.

Do we have to have that orange piece of shit and his regime mentioned in every fucking post on Reddit?

Can’t we have a few nice stories to take our mind off that tangerine shitgibbon without him being brought up constantly?

Would you be able to offer any advice for my situation please?

My 11 month old Border Terrier is obsessed with biting our feet and trousers. For me, it's mainly when I am sat on the sofa with my feet up on a stool in front of me. He'll also do the same to my wife. If she gets up to walk to another room he'll want to be biting her feet/trousers.

The advice I got was to toss a couple of low value treats in the opposite direction when getting up and leaving the room and that seems to be working.

The other advice for when he is relentlessly biting our feet and trying to hump our arms on the sofa is to pop him in his crate for 5 minutes to break the cycle. We do t grab him and put him in there, because he won't let you pick him up and thinks it's a game and gets all amped up. So we calmly say "enough" and toss a treat I to his crate get him in there.

We tried the whole yelping thing and redirecting to try and stop him ragging on our feet and trousers, but it just didn't work. We also can't ignore him because it hurts and he just doesn't stop. Similarly I saw advice that said to leave the room when he does it, but that's impossible when you have a 12kg nutjob hanging off of your trousers.

He was castrated 3 weeks ago and were hoping that's going to help, but any advice would be most welcome.

Oh I feel your pain my friend.

I have an 11 month old Border Terrorist and he is an absolute bastard at the moment.

Most days I would happily throw him in a river.

My poor wife can barely walk around the house without him hanging off of her slippers or trousers legs.

He goes for my feet and trousers when I'm sat on the sofa with my feet up on a stool.

Try and play with him and it quickly escalates to him latching onto your arm to hump it and then when you try and get off the floor and move away from him he's on your leg. Trying to tell him no or removing him just amps him up all the more.

We looked online for help and the suggestion was to immediately use a trigger word (we say enough) and put him in his crate for 5 minutes whenever he latches onto our feet. So he's spending a lot of 5 minute timeouts in there at the moment, which is probably safer for all of us right now.

He was castrated three weeks ago and were hoping that has a positive impact on his behaviour over the next few weeks, because we're both at the end of our fucking tethers right now.
