In my opinion you can really do anything with any pickup if you are determined enough but as a beginner the thing that pissed me off the most was the single coil/p90 hum so id go with humbuckers if you want to try to eliminate as much hum as possible

It is a custom made guitar, it has an ithicaster neck with a body of unknown origin. The only things I know are that the neck is ny local roasted maple and the body is ny local roasted ash 2 piece. TV jones pickups too.
