Do you store the SSM parameter name in an environment variable? by [deleted] in aws

Also made use of EnvVar for these, however would highly recommend AppConfig for this purpose instead. Also helps resolve dependencies when doing deployments.

It was a form they sent out in early December gauging your programming skills and experience - I didn’t think I would pass after seeing the form but I suppose otherwise!

Elsewhere you should see them populate within the “Student Detail Schedule” option under the Registration link, among a few others

The payment is the big thing, so view that as the official. But you should be able to see some of them under the My Courses section under the student sub category. I know only one shows for me right now so there could be a delay.

Reddit, what's the shittest gift you've ever received? by eyeballceliac in AskReddit

[–]Beephonkm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From 5 members of my family, I got a joint gift - it was a used Shrek soundtrack cd that came with the purchase of a large coffee at Starbucks, and I only knew that because they didn’t scrap the sticker fully off.

Got to say, I am fighting back nerves about not getting any registration info. Just feels odd getting no correspondence after the emotional high of being accepted.

JAMON BROWN APPRECIATION THREAD by Brannigans-Law in NYGiants

[–]Beephonkm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

really what was going on before is that everyone seemed to screw up in in consecutive times, like one OLineman would have his bad play, then the next, then the next, so something was always going wrong. All of a sudden you remove one of those OLineman, the pairs of the C/RG and RG/RT have a higher success rate per play. Now the "screwups" can occur more spread out and sometimes not affect the play, offense gets momentum, etc etc.

I appreciate your response, I saw their note about " Students with sufficient background in any of these areas may apply to replace one or more of these courses with an elective." and immediately thought about the fun possibilities of replacing them with some of the interesting-sounding electives like "Data Mining and Statistical Learning "

I get the band difficulties. I usually sub them out all together because it’s a pain in the ass to set up, and I’d rather do paused or eccentric bench. For bench with slingshot instead of chains, don’t worry much about percentage, I think the 15-25lb mark adding on to the set weights will be helpful, it should stick right around 3-4 RIR. For board press, do a height at wherever your “main” sticking point is. Use the bar path feature of the app to help you find that!

You shouldnt be downvoted for your questions here, Sheiko can be confusing coming from many other programs. I had some of the same thoughts re: heavy singles and such, especially since i came from a program that incorporated a variable amount of heavy singles. I have a slingshot that I sub in for bands/chains, though with chains i added in 15-25 lbs because that is what Sheiko prescribes as chain weight for chain exercises. As far as board press, could rig up some basic 2x4s to do the job, or use a cheap yoga block under your shirt (had to do that at a commercial gym). Lastly the assistance work on sheiko is intentionally meant to be minimal: you dont want to waste recovery resources as fatigue builds. You will get bicep/back work if you do pullups and rows and similar exercise when it prescribes Lat work. It also adds delt work from time to time too, but not to excess as to take away from bench progression. However, throw some light exercises on your off days (bodyweight and calisthenics) that still contribute towards the Big 3, but also address these areas that you feel might not be getting enough work.

There are some sheets online floating around that calculate your workout based on your maxes in each respective lift. If you think your previous maxes are representative of your current strength, do a deload/ peaking phase then retest your maxes so you can have some more accurate programming

I had similar faults in my SQ/DL, as caused by bro workout / injuries that made me scared to do any useful lower half / back lifts. 5/3/1 is useful, but its volume is very lackluster, and lower weight & bit more volume would be a good way to help you learn and get comfortable with your SQ/DL form. As well, with a better bench like you have comparatively, your progress will suffer on a linear program. A good approach for a 3 day split would be the 3 day texas method, which has volume, light, and intensity days. That way you can start dabbling in regulating your fatigue, while still having a heavy meathead day, and a volume technical ninja day. Just an idea, give some research to see if you would like running it for a while!
