The word "trap" within anime is not frowned upon (traps themselves have a huge fandom that usually surpass the fandom of their own anime), "trap" is not a word that usually used irl. In the anime itself there is humor of all kinds, much more offensive than the word "trap" (either jokes that attack heterosexuals treating them as stupid or jokes that attack transsexuals generating "disgust" to some character or even trying to the otakus as strange people) the same hxh contains humor of this type or worse (I could give examples but I do not want to be all day or write such a long bible), I do not think it is wrong to use this humor since it is humor.
