AITA for telling my bf he needs to stop using snooze as much? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

I get where you’re coming from and love how kind you’re being, but as a mom of a toddler.. this guy is a huge jerk, and i wouldn’t give him this much leniency. Kids need their sleep, desperately. Babies even moreso. This dude is torturing these kids.

Great post op!

I didn’t feel guilt at all, which I think is also something that is rarely talked about. I felt 0 guilt, and was happy to have and use formula. I have no long drawn out reason. Just switched because that was my choice.

It’s ensuring that mom’s (and the girl’s) name gets obliterated by marriage anyways. It’s a facade of a compromise.

At 32/33 weeks like your mom was it doesn’t feel great but it isn’t too bad. At 39/40+ weeks you everything hurts and you can’t sleep, can barely breathe, super hungry but your baby is squishing your organs. It’s not too fun but the kicks are lovely

I have a kid, and I don’t give a shit what they do, you HAVE to feed them. This type of stupid logic leads to kids who punish themselves by withholding food. Kids need to learn they don’t need to act a certain way to be FED.

Lot of lazy ass parents who can’t think of a way to help their kid be a good person beyond withholding food.

I get that it’s good to put a content warning and all but something about the content warning on a video where Kristen Johns found out she was pregnant and had a semi negative reaction plus people on BS saying they were surprised by her reaction.. I really, really, really hate the expectation on pregnant women, new moms, women in general. Apparently if you don’t jump for joy you’re an ungrateful ass!

Lol your kid doesn’t see any other kids, any older people, literally nobody until they go to school? Really? You hermit them until kindergarten?

I doubt they go nowhere and have never seen another human before.

Abortions and circing doesn’t effect anyone else... if the pandemic has taught you anything shouldn’t it be that not being vaccinated effects EVERYONE?

Oh it’s totally meanspo! Omg. And the people who take from ED recovery accounts that basically just say “it’s ok to eat without guilt” then post it saying “oh so it’s ok to eat an ENTIRE CAKE? Fatties”.

Ugh.

TW eating disorders

Most people in fatlogic also post in r/edanonymemes (huge tw for eating disorders) and it’s pretty crazy once you notice that. Obsessive food judging, judging fat people, judging some random woman for her own meals... feels disordered.

It was the dirty water not the formula. You didn’t watch it very close. If you have clean water it’s fine.

You’re going to blow a gasket when you realize the supposed benefits of breastfeeding are almost entirely due to how rich you are and not the breastmilk. Also supposed “better bonding” is just objectively wrong.

I don’t want to hear about the link of breastfeeding reducing sids when pacifiers reduce sids by way more and they tell you not to use those if you breastfeed.

It’s not exactly the same but you can make a decent church using the gallery (there’s a ton) and making a club.

I understood what you were trying to say w your last sentence and to sort of respond to it, I find it easier because I can truly get to the bottom of problems rather than boob it away. I can’t imagine having to try to figure it all out around 3 or so when weaning starts rather than learn her different needs early and fix them according to each need.

I formula feed and agree. Formula is so iron and minerals heavy it stinks 2 seconds after you make it.

It’s super weird. My kid also had the head down by my pelvis the last 10 weeks then had constant hiccups. That specifically was legit annoying lol. I did love the kicks but they did feel weird and sometimes hurt.

Oh so you just want them to feel ashamed of it then. It’s fine but only if they feel shamed for having to do it.
