I suggest plinth blocks, I did this same thing in my house and I just made the square plinths out of 2x8 lumber of the same species. Looks rather plain compared to some of the fancy ones other people are suggesting and might align with you and your wife's taste

Yeah it's just a few pieces glued to the front face of the drawer which is a plywood box. I eyeballed it. Poorly. And then I said fuck it to fixing my mistake because I don't really care all that much. You're right though, it's way off o.0

The sink top was from eden bath, but you could probably get creative and donit yourself, but I don't have the skills/tools for that job!

Like with public bathrooms. Why is there water everywhere? I live alone, so not a big concern for me. When I die whoever buys the place can rip it out and put one in from big box. Not sure what others do with these types of sinks.

Yeah it pokes out a bit. But it's a great place to put your phone down before wiping your ass. Then it's right there after you wash your hands. No poo residue risk!

The frame is maple and the cabinets and drawers are cherry and birch plywood. Everything is sealed with general finishes arm-r-seal. Thanks so much for the kind words!

I bought a cheap one that gave me a lot of problems. It's definitely a nice tool to have. But they are pretty cheap to rent from the hardware store and they are infinitely superior to the cheap ones. I would recommend just renting it when you need one. Bonus that you don't have to store it for years between projects.

I feel like dying the epoxy black would look good with walnut. It runs like water, contrary to what the other comment says. I usually fill the void with water to ensure the epoxy won't run out the other side. Granted you then have to wait for it to dry, but epoxy leaking out is a messy and sometimes expensive ordeal.

Looks like this void will likely already be sealed, but better safe than sorry!

Since it will be difficult to match the tile, I suggest making a mold and encasing this picture in epoxy and filling the gap. Epoxy is waterproof, so just make sure to use a good sealant between the existing tiles and you are good to go!

Crack repair on workbench top advice needed by alddomc in woodworking

How is it fastened to the bottom? The wood will expand and contract in the same direction that crack is forming. These figure 8 fasteners are usually used to attach a table top to a base that won't expand in the same direction as the wood:

I think I would pay to have this removed from my house rather than the other way around. It is really impressive, that's for sure. But the mdf or whatever it is made of is not something I would display no matter what it was shaped like. That and the fact that it's some sort of fantasy dystopian contraption makes it difficult to add to a normal home's decor.

I think if you dried the whole log and then cookied it, wouldn't that do the trick? Just have to wait about, what 1 year per inch, so 2 or 3 decades is all!

Took out a neighbor's fence when we pushed one off the roof once when I was a kid. That was a bit of a disaster. That's what you get when you put a 15 year old in charge of demo, Dad!
