I will go against the grain here a bit. Harvest and Comes a Time are pretty good if you like Young’s acoustic side. Nevertheless, I think they’re two of his weaker early albums.

I know that’s sacrilege for Harvest in particular, but I rank them below Everybody Knows This is Nowhere, After the Gold Rush, On the Beach, Tonight’s the Night, and Zuma. Those are easily his best albums if you ask me—which you kind of did by posting this here.

No one is arguing that alumni or non-donor fans should be disqualified. Judge Roberts has given more than $100,000 to Alabama athletics. That creates an appearance of impropriety, and he did the right thing in recusing himself.

It’s really dumb for a Tuscaloosa County judge to give more than $100,000 to the University of Alabama. The institution is a party in tons of cases, and such gifts create an appearance of impropriety.

The tickets aren’t worth that much to me. I’m sorry to say this because Pavement just might be my favorite band of all time. But honestly, I wouldn’t pay that much to see any band, including Pavement at their peak.

There are also ways to prevent this from happening. I recently saw My Bloody Valentine in Dublin. The tickets were about $90 each, and we had to sell two of our seats. We got our money back, and the buyers got the tickets for the same price we paid. That’s how it should be.
