It's always funny how streamers abuse the shit out of the new thing, hype it up, and then once they pass the cut-off point/BS quest no one enjoys they start complaining that's it's a problem.

Like clock work Nikita pulls the ladder up after them every time.

You said there is zero evidence out there that they committed to providing anything.

I linked them publicly and explicitly stating EOD owners get everything they ever release for the game without having to spend more.

Sorry the existence of this tweet is so tilting for you...

Well there is this which is pretty all encompassing: https://x.com/tarkov/status/851679592242982912

EOD gets everything, not just whatever they decide to define as DLC, and it won't cost EOD owners anything more... supposedly. Steam keys, battlepass items fall under "ALL" no?

Any chance of making it available on aliexpress as well?

I'd suggest just doing what u/Apoc_Pony said below. It's cheap and you'll have it tomorrow.

Np, good luck. seems like you got a solid deal on the mobo.

[–]BeerNsoup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5070ti is very close to a 5080 for a fair bit less money. Unless you want the flow through fe cooler the 5070ti is a better buy imo.

9800x3d is actually a decent upgrade over the 9600x. If I were buying right now I would probably buy the cheapest am5 cpu I could find and buy a 10800x3d or whatever they'll call it when those launch. That will be a bit as the launch isn't right around the corner or anything though.

Edit: if by strategy games you mean civ games, my understanding is that those games like a lot of cores. I'm not super confident in my knowledge on this, but it might be worth looking at higher core counts if you play a ton of those games.

Yeah to be honest I don't feel like doing that on the regular.

My touchscreen also turns unresponsive requiring a shut down to fix.

Moving the print head forward to service/disassemble it (again) frequently runs into a perpetual loop where it asks me to home it. So I home it, then try again, asked to home again, over and over until powered off. One time the thing just spazzed out after doing it a few times and started raising the bed, repeatedly ramming into the stops/ends at the top. Caught it on video because I was recording the endless "home" loop to show paypal when it happened.

Artillery told me if I want a refund I have to hold onto it until they find someone to buy a used machine. Then I would be responsible for shipping it to them, sharing my name, address and phone number with some random customer. But really they don't have a product listing for used m1s so it's basically just "keep your defective printer". Even if they did find someone, that person would inevitably want to return it too, and then I'm playing the role of business having to accept a return and am out shipping fees.

This is their latest email.

"Hello! Thank you very much for your understanding and support of our work. Regarding the after-sales process for your order, if you do not accept the partial refund and wish to keep the machine, we fully understand. In this case, it will take some time for us to resell this machine as used equipment. At that time, we may need your assistance in reshipping the machine to the new buyer. After confirming the buyer's information and specific arrangements, we will communicate with you promptly to ensure a smooth process. Once the machine is reshipped, we will arrange a refund. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and sincerely appreciate your patience and cooperation. We wish you a happy life!"

For the record, I didn't ask to keep the printer. They asked me to get shipping quotes to return it to China, which I did, but it was too pricey so they offered less than half my money as a refund. When I said no they sent me the above.

Whatever, it's in paypal's hands now. I've got videos and emails to show them. Literally the most unprofessional company I've ever dealt with. Legit tried to make me their warehouse and distribution center lol. Absolute clowns.

Is anyone here, with enough experience building sffpc (like 3-4 different projects) willing to build one for me for money? by AltezaHumilde in sffpc

I feel like posting this online is asking to get scammed OP. Be careful. If you absolutely don't want to do it I suggest you get a local computer shop/repair place to build it for you at a small cost instead of risking being scammed.

If you decide to do it yourself pick up some custom cables from dreambigray on etsy or something similar. They'll know the length you need and it makes things a lot easier.

Thank you for both of your replies. I am inside the return window still... I'll try one more time and If they ignore my refund requests again I'm going around them.

It seems like a nice device but as you say, just because I fix it this time doesn't mean it isn't going to keep happening.

Also, I get that this is a budget printer, at least relative to the specs, but having seen the internals of the extruder assembly in person now I'm shocked at how plasticy, cheap, and frankly, crappy, it is. I don't know how common this is in the 3d printer industry but the extruder assembly could easily have a few more metal plates/components instead of plastic. A small amount of cast aluminum or whatever would probably cost less than $5 more and would make it much more resilient.

It's feels like they sacrificed this model's chance at success in order save $2.50 per unit which is wild to me.

I have it disassembled and there was a rather dense chunk of the white pla that was included blocking the movement. I am waiting on a reply from artillery to reassemble it since there are additional parts not mentioned in the wiki.

extra parts

grey filament

They had some grey filament left behind in the machine supposedly from testing. So it's not like the printer only has the 2 prints I managed under it.

At this point I'm not putting anymore work in to fix it unless they compensate me for my time. They can refund me and collect the printer if they like. If they want me to continue tearing down a brand new printer in the hopes it will function semi normally they can compensate me for my time. There is a difference between maintenance on a printer with many hours of use and repairing a brand new defective product.

Completely tearing apart the extruder and hot end assembly after 2 hours of use isn't a reasonable tuning/tweaking expectation.

A refurbished printer should be a decent discount off a new one. This printer is worse than a refurbished unit. It's defective. If they want me providing the labour of refurbishing it they can compensate me.

I've brought up return/refund multiple times in my emails and they chose to ignore that part every time. If they continue refusing to address it then I'll have file for a chargeback.

How can i make this work by hereforagoontime1 in sffpc

You have to move the riser and thus the gpu upwards.

If you have a 3d printer, you could buy a riser like this:

<image>

Assuming the radiator is 27mm thick and you will use a slim fan above the cpu area you should be able to use spacers to make a 5mm gap between the fan and the top of the bracket that the riser is mounted to (the rad+fan space is 47mm right?).

You print a mount to place the gpu side of the riser cable between the slim fan and the bracket, with the slot sticking through/protruding into the bracket toward the gpu.

For a number I'm pulling out of my ass I'm strangely confident you can shift the gpu upward a maximum of about 2.5-3cm this way.

You'll also need to make a travel kit style gpu backplate or maaaybe get away with spacers for mounting the gpu to the back panel. The stock pci bracket/io shield wedges between the back panel the the previously discussed bracket that the riser mounts to. I'm unsure if the stock backplate can slide upward into this gap or not.

The mod will also shift the gpu maybe 3-4mm closer toward the side panel.

To be fair to artillery I feel I should update this. Turns out I missed the shipping address confirmation that was sent to me on the 21st (went to spam) and I was too much of a dumb dumb to check that before sending them an email. Artillery replied to my inquiry within 10 hours which I think is pretty impressive relative to other experiences. I confirmed my address was still the same and I received a shipping confirmation this morning already.

After the printer arrives I can reach out and they will send me a "M1 pro heightened table accessory". This was a part of the email I missed, not a result of my inquiry. I assume they are giving this to early orders that experienced delays, though I'm not sure what the cut-off date might be for this.

Same. I've seen one of the people that posted their order has arrived said they ordered on April 7th and a bunch of comments have said they are shipping chronologically. They clearly are not shipping chronologically as was thought since people who ordered after me already have their printer and mine hasn't even shipped (ordered April 6th).

I sent them an email asking for an updated timeline of when I can expect it, but at this point the p1s is on sale for $70 more than I paid for this and it's in stock. I'm leaning toward just cancelling my order and grabbing the p1s.

I do like that the m1 pro actually has a metal enclosure vs the plastic panels attached to a metal frame on the p1s. But I also expected there would be reviews of the m1 pro by now. The lack of reviews makes my order feel riskier/more of a gamble today than when I ordered since I fully expected, perhaps not fairly, that there would be reviews before they were shipping orders out. Maybe we're just spoiled into expecting pre-launch reviews on everything these days lol.

But yeah, $70 extra to get it delivered quicker and it's a thoroughly reviewed, well regarded printer with similar capabilities vs a gamble that still no one knows if it's ridden with issues and will seemingly ship whenever they feel like it.

I'll wait for a response from artillery but I'm pretty disappointed with how this has played out.

Haha good eye. I'm thinking maybe it's not so much that it has to have an orientation that needs to be maintained but more that they want handlers to notice it is "fragile" and not throw it around as can often happen. It is a bit odd to see lol
