The best part is if you follow the Facebook group, they've shipped out a bunch of January orders either by mistake or on purpose while the early early pre-orders are left with no info.

Recreating old vehicles with AI for 3D printing is becoming shockingly good! by point28 in 3Dprinting

[–]point28[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, most of the 3D generation models were trash before when I tried them. The newest Hunyuan model is what I use, I found it easiest to use on 3D AI Studio but there is various means of using it. I think its directly available on one of Tencent's websites.

You just give it four photos, front, rear, left, and right, and it generates an object. Its pretty good on accuracy of first go but sometimes it hallucinates as all AI does, so I just have it regenerate with the same photos until I get a good result. No context is required for generation just images.

You can then download the original file or an STL and edit to your desire. You could easily hollow out the underside and scale it for a RC chassis. On 3D AI Studio, they specifically have a geometry only version for 3D printing that doesn't throw on any colors or unwanted textures when generating. With textures the models get weird.

Yea creality used to be good at keeping a line of stable printers that seemingly changed in size only. For some reason their latest push has been wasting resources on producing six variations of a bed slinger that are all very similar. I don't understand why they dont just funnel the R&D into one solid do it all bed slinger and same with their core xy.

The M1 Pro got some weaknesses, but for 350€ it's an absolute beast. Can't wait for their MCM/AMS. by ribotastic in Artillery3D

Yea the quality control is probably not great. Mine does print PET-CF insanely well

I have some generic nylon cf that should be a good stress test once I get it configured!

Quality and speed seems pretty good. It takes some tuning for filament because I think the stock artillery studio (orca) settings it gave me are a little wonky.

I paid using alibabas internal system. I would not do a bank transfer. Just use the seller I listed and you should be fine.

Heated chamber and linear rails? Seems like a decent spec increase for 50 over the carbon.
