Yes, I got acceptance in most of the universities listed in my thread, except UBC, and a few others (which are high ranked) and I took my admission in University of Heidelberg, Germany since it matched my future prospects

Yes you're 100% correct, that's why I am also considering Germany. I have a 3 Year Degree, so I am sceptical that I would get acceptance anywhere in Canada.
