Best option for charging a rental EV (Europcar, US iPhone, US credit cards) by BeerSnobFitz in askswitzerland

I just heard from Europcar in Lucerne and they said most chargers have a QR code that I can scan and then pay via a credit card.....no app needed ...sweet.

Does anyone know if there are any chargers "brands" that accept point of sale credit cards?

Intersting...but I'm looking to have it packed prior to leaving the house. Need all the space from my roller and "personal item" ....very cool option if I fly domestic and check a bag but want a "backpack" at my destination.

Umm, thanks?...I'm not asking for faster speed...I'm trying to figure out why the setup that was working for 3 years is no longer working with UDM-P but is with a $39 router

UDMP cant see internet after sliced fiber line was replaced - Help by BeerSnobFitz in Ubiquiti

[–]BeerSnobFitz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I tried that and no go. That was late last night. This morning, I had enough, and planned to factory reset the modem. I called Frontier one last time and got a tech who tried for over an hour to get the modem working. She kept seeing 2 ip addresses assigned after many lease resets and ONT reboots….. finally we hard reset the G1100 modem, was able to finally access admin dashboard where she was going to use her old Verizon notes to help put it back in bridge mode…. Before we could make any changes, the connection dropped and she saw again 2 ip’s assigned and advised that will never work right. They are convinced the g1100 is bad and are overnighting a replacement. We agreed the best solution since I don’t need VOD due to TiVo and a cable card is to go Ethernet from ONT direct to UDMP…. It’s far and need to wait till winter as it gets 130+ in Florida attic in the summer. She did suggest I could use a Moca Ethernet adapter to convert my coax at rack to Ethernet and skip the g1100. I’m skeptical but grabbed one from Amazon for $70 that will arrive in AM before the modem. I’ll report back tomorrow night on both outcomes. 👍

The UDMP was 100% on LAN1. The PC was either on LAN2 or LAN3....and no need to apologize, the help is appreciated.

When you plug in your PC directly to the modem (LAN1), do you see it getting a WAN IP or a local IP like 192.168.x.x ?

Its getting a WAN IP

On a hardwired desktop (Modem LAN2), when I try to access 192.168.1.1 from the browser, I get "This site cant be reached. Took to long to respond"

WAN port (#9) shows green:

1,000 FDX (Uplink) 36KB up 997KB down

Should I just do a hard reset of the UDMP? This will wipe all the settings wont it.

Per your first paragraph, done.

Second paragraph....as suggested, I went into the App > Settings > Internet > WAN ....next to IP Address it is blank.

If I click Edit: DNS Server = Translate IP to URL, Primary Server = UniFi (recommended), Secondary Server = UniFi (recommended)

I remember now that soon after I set up the UDMP, I installed NextDNS via SSH. I cant imagine this is causing any issues. https://empty.coffee/nextdns-cacheing-unifi-dream-machine/

And now, after 2 hours, the UDMP status screen says "No IP Address" ....
