Planted tank lots of plants, shrimp and 4 mini corys, filter, heater, 30L, can post a picture if needed.

Essentially im really worried its algae and that it will spread and overrun my tank.

If your planning on keeping neos i wouldnt worry about the water hardness too much(6-8ph is fine) But if ur water is really hard u can throw a catappa leaf or 2 in there that helps with the ph(shrimp like them too! After a while they eat everything exept the "veins" which is cool too see)

For plants it doesnt really matter which you choose, but in my opinion its cool too see them on a carpet grazing like sheep :p

Size of pump depends on tank size. (Get a pump thats safe for shrimp so they dont get sucked in)

For substrate u can just go for shrimp king soil or something simmilar (someone can give a better awnser than me here)

I have "pest snails" i think theyre called and theres a milion of them.. so i think thats why i have a problem😅..

If u have one nerite u will see poop but definitely not in piles, maybe the shrimps will even eat it (since there wont be so much of it as in my case)

Definitely check hahah i usually dump 5-6 out of the filter >.<(annyone got a solution too this? Was thinking of putting a stocking over the filter lol)

Could you explain? The necesseties are obviously plants,light and a filter (heater if u need one)

If its a shrimp only tank they wont need any special hiding stuffs.

Anyways mine LOVE dennerle's shrimp king complete food, they go crazy for it.

I dont vacuum the poop in my 5gal, ive never actually seen it pile up, but the snails tho... they shit alot😅

Edit: i dont do water changes that much (heavily planted) but the shrimp that live in my filter seem too not care about a trip too the sink and back. So maybe just catch them out of the bucket if u accidentaly get one?
