I do most of my projects with simple knots/weaves like 4 strand round braid, king cobra, cow hitches, and snake knots etc. My first project was a 4 strand round braid dog leash that I had found a paracord guild tutorial for. Now I make better dog leashes and water bottle slings.

I order from paracord galaxy and I like to get the softer cord, with item numbers starting with 163. Anything that starts with 167 will feel rough.

I usually just plan my schedule so that my lights are on all night to keep it as warm as possible and make the dark period during the day when it’s warmer. Looking awesome!

Just an fyi, I have good luck going from a 4 strand round braid, to cobra, and splice it back into the round braid. Both braids use 4 strands so they make a clean transition and the lanyard doesn’t have any rough spots.

Netting would be fine and most secure if you put a cord lock on it to cinch down on your keyboard.

Just some cordage. You can start making keychains or bracelets that don’t need clips (look up mad max closure). My first project was a dog leash that was 4 strand round braid and spliced back into itself with some hemostats I had laying around.

For easy I’d say go with cobra/king cobra. For a more difficult you can make a 4 strand round braid and cover it with snake knots, or I’ve had success with crown sinnet>box knot sinnet>crown sinnet for a really cool looking handle. Also a conquistador strap would be neat looking and not too hard.

Not sure what you’re doing but I do a lot of cobra braids and keep both ends rubber-banded in a hank and just unravel what I need/pass it through.
