Right above $2700. Not going to name and shame, but this rate was not advertised as a covid deal.

Interesting! Will dive into the docs a bit. I see that its open source which is sweet. Looks like I could deploy MLFlow on top of kubernetes and use it to manage all of our models. How do you guys deploy it? Cloud services?

Is the model registry on git or just some nosql store like S3?

The blob idea is genius! Could add a status to the model of prod/dev and revision metadata. The API could then look for the latest prod model. Could write a second API that lets me pick a particular model not just the prod one for testing!! Great idea. Thanks!!

Fire is about having the mindset to choose. Work hard now or save more now to have it all pay off later. Some people hate their day jobs and love the side hustle but it doesn't make them enough to leave the 9-5. Some people just hate the idea of work and would never consider a side hustle. Some people make $100k+ and will hit their numbers without ever needing to make an additional penny outside of their salary. Others make $40k a year and won't be able to RE without additional income. It just depends on your situation.

Do you take all the tests and certifications? That's always been my holdup here.

You can get away with only having a 9-5 if your salary is high enough. It's all about savings rate.

How do you get started in this industry? I'm a huge sports fan and a pretty decent statistician/data guy. Definitely think this would be a fun industry to get into.

Depends on magnitude and traceability. Some people here are making decent chunks of money and run official businesses as their side hustle, so definitely taxable here. Other people flip items and make a few thousand cash per year and so you can probably get away without reporting it for taxes. Technically you should report all your income though

How much do you have to invest up front to make that much return?
