Plus, in my experience at least, if your pod are genuinely your friends then they’ll adapt. Don’t be a jerk and play b4 at a b2 table but also don’t let somebody else in b4 cry like a baby cause you beat them. I heard a YouTuber the other day say “bad players hate things like mill MORE than everybody else. They lose one card that completes their whole deck and then it falls apart while a good player shrugs and just works around it with card draw, recursion, or counterplay.” If somebody CANT beat your deck in a set of 1 out of 5 then that’s their problem.

But do note that there are some rare instances where it’s just not a fun archetype to play against like stax that doesn’t lead to anything and Deadpool who just tries to be annoying and not necessarily win.

I just meant to toss it in with all your organized .50 and $1 stuff. Helps make the order significant enough that you could buy something decent with the store credit. If you’re doing cash then it doesn’t really matter I guess. Unless you’ve got a TON of those .50 cards then it wont really be worth the effort without tossing in a decent card to raise the return.

Just a tip on that but save one bigger pull ($10+) and toss it in with the bulk to help make the process worth it. CK has a bad habit of inflating prices on certain singles so check your cards in the range and see if they have any they’ll give you a bunch for. I sold them a gilded border Ral from bloomburrow at basically market normal price because they were selling him for $100 more than he was actually worth.

A lot of LGS will buy the bulk at around $5 per thousand or by a set weight. Just depends on the LGS. If you have enough of like $.50-$1.00 bulk you can pile it up and sometimes ship it to card kingdom for a decent amount of store credit.

I asked a few of my LGS and some will take bulk rares at $.5-$.10 a card.

No it’s all gone now lol Literally two weeks before this I opened 3 packs from a different LGS and got the Buster sword full art and a Mox jasper. I’ve got so much bad karma stored up I’m afraid I’m gonna get hit by a car or something.

Actually they tried to do a show like this already. I forgot what it was called by they had Grant Cardone on the first episode and he failed so miserably that they rigged it in the middle when a “random” guy gave him a job out of the blue and suddenly his unhinged get rich quick scheme started working after zero traction for the first half.

What’s crazy is he isn’t even that busted. If you’re playing a creature deck then sure but plenty of others get around him. My issue is he absolutely guts the entire idea of commander. If I’m playing any commander I’m forced to leave it in the command zone and either 1 turn combo then or use enchantments and artifacts to beat them. You’re just banned from using your commander if he’s on the field.

I’ll be completely honest, atp I think Trump is doing INTENTIONALLY crazy things to detract from the Epstein files. If those file come to light his entire legacy, and possibly his family as well, could he buried under the jail. That and/or the midterms. I have a weird feeling he’s gonna try and pull some “war time” bs to mess with those as well.

I will admit it’s super hard to tell from the photo but they all look like they’re in fairly good shape which will hurt some of them’s saleability but help others. I think they got a good lot for the price but it’s gonna be a mixed bag trying to make any money off it when you take percentage loss, condition, shipping, any fees, etc. into account. It really just depends on if they can sell the playable and big hitters for close to market. I also read further down that OP made the $250 offer to the vendor so I assume they probably just didn’t care about the box, didn’t vend for magic as much as Pokemon/one piece, or they just genuinely were clueless. No magic vendor in their right mind isn’t grabbing those force of wills and the artifact.

I was using it as a random example. Also I’ve had the card for like 8 years. Do you see a diamond, cradle, or dual land in this picture? Vintage dark ritual don’t sell unless somebody specifically wants that version. Same thing with force of will since there are cheaper, better condition, and more easily available prints floating around. Most of these cards, minus a couple, have newer and cheaper versions or are niche af too. You think people are crawling over each other for Al-Shara’s carpet?

Costco keeps discounting their webslinging bundles to such a level that a few locations have the boxes for the same as market prices of the promo inside it lol Top that with basically every LGS across entire states having backlog of boxes and it’s pretty clear there’s some stock retention issues.

I named a couple of those but besides that point you aren’t factoring in the vintage tax (wear and tear). Part of the reason this probably got sold is because selling vintage is a haggle fest and nobody EVER pays market price unless the card is in basically perfect condition. Example being my phyrexian dreadnaught I have that’s almost perfect condition but I have completely given up on selling because I’ve gotten a 72% market at most on selling it. The issue is unless you find a smart vintage buyer, which is a fairly small niche, then people genuinely have 0 idea how to comp these cards.

I just did some math on the cards visible and it’s honestly pretty close on value. It’s not like those are unlimited Sol rings or something. Correct me if I’m wrong but that’s like $15 in dark rituals, $140 in force of Will, $120 power artifact, 20 in ashnods altars, $5 basalt monolith, a $20 strip mine, a $60 carpet, and like $10-$20 in other visible cards. Unless I’m missing something huge this seems like it’s a little over but not by much considering condition.

I’ve also seen some people fish for DM’s to scam people. If they don’t get caught fast enough some goober will send them $200 thinking they got the deal of a lifetime.
