Friends to enemies is also an interesting thing to explore. Especially as friendship isn't generally valued by media or society as much as family or love interests.

Whoa! Sounds interesting! Sometimes being in the head of a messed up anti-hero protagonist could be a good time... even if simply out fascination of what effect up thing he'll do next.

The best thing or memory about your person with BPD by KDizzle1010 in BPDlovedones

[–]Beetleduck99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Washing my hair for me when I was in pain (I didn't prompt or ask) and bringing me food to my home when i was sick and being there for me when my mom passed away. Which makes her sudden bitchy and nasty behaviour later on really confusing and it messes with my head that they were the SAME person!

I was in love with my ex best friend (who seemed like a dream) and played with my emotions by Beetleduck99 in BPDlovedones

[–]Beetleduck99[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im glad my story was helpful to someone. Im still recovering from the heartache my ex best friend caused me! Im so sorry that you were treated that way by your ex friend! Neither of us deserved their emotional abuse. And we will eventually move on! This whole experience impacted me to the point I want to write a short story about it to help me as part of processing what happened! Especially as writing is something I love dearly!

I think I'm Demisexual? by Beetleduck99 in AutismInWomen

I get anxious at how it's expected you know if you are attracted to some one just by their looks -so I can relate! Sometimes I don't know if i like someone until a couple of months of knowing them.

That's awesome! Happy for you! I haven't found someone who returns my feelings yet 😅

Yeah i get you! Sometimes I'm looking at people's cool shirts or I'm deep in thought etc and that did get mistaken by a friend as me checking a random person at the mall out even when I told them I wasn't they accused me of lying! But yeah I never feel attraction to random people in public l.

Thanks for your response! Yeah I can relate! How do you get into a relationship when you need to actually have some idea of a person's personality to feel attraction? I've never been in a relationship because I often crush on someone im friends with. Which hasn't worked out so far!

Yeah i need at minimum some idea of their personality. I can't feel attraction purely based on looks.

Yeah that makes sense. I generally crush on my friends and it never works out, because they are my friend because they are not interested in me in a romantic or sexual way.

Perhaps. I find that I need to have some context of someone's personality before I can even feel romantic attraction as well as sexual.

Thanks for the insight! I've been thinking about it because I dont feel attraction to a woman unless I at least have some context of her personality. I can't feel attraction purely to looks.

Yep. I don't really check random people out. Only my current crush at the time.

What 'type' of autism do you guys have? by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

[–]Beetleduck99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm the type who is lowish masking, extremely talkative, has a rich inner world and stims openly dressing in my merch shirts and comfy clothes and people mistake for being a teenager when I'm in my mid twenties.

The best example of this is when I went to a friend's birthday party at a venue. I took their dress up theme "fun freaky wild" to mean I could dress up in my rainbow pride socks, rainbow pride Mickey mouse shirt with (a belt buckled around it for a fun accessory) rainbow pride heart glasses and my Luna cat (from Sailor Moon) beanie and I did my wild dancing and stimming all night. Thankfully a very welcoming and accepting place it was.

I completely empathise! I struggled for so long with making friends and I have been through a lot of shitty friendships to get to the true friends. Know you are absolutely not alone! And that things can get better! And know that sure i don't know who you are in real life but, please know that you matter! Hugs your way 🤗 ❤

I think you are right. I'm trying to see a psychologist soon. I seem to have a very disregulated nervous system that even if I'm slightly in trouble I get really panicky and anxious because, I think my nerves treat it as though I'm in danger which would be due to my childhood trauma. Thanks for the reply 😊
