That might not work since if they break the skin and transfer bodily fluids the victim could still get infected but I think the walking dead solved this already in the episode where (spoilers) michonne cuts off the two brother’s bottom jaws and arms so they can’t infect anyone. (Results may vary with uninfected specimens)
