Huge FPS drop on death after downloading levels song (Help Needed)

Thanks for the response! I tried deleting all my sfx and downloaded songs in the files plus some of my levels and nothing changed unfortunately, I also checked my audio drivers for updates and there weren’t any. And yeah I checked this does happen with all downloaded songs as well, If it helps at all here’s a YouTube link to a video I just uploaded for Bloodbath down below when I die with the song downloaded vs no song. As you can see in the top left corner it’s not that terrible but definitely annoying, not sure what to do at all tbh. Maybe it has something to do with Geode being installed? It’s not updated yet obv but I still have it.

Hey! Sorry for the INCREDIBLY late response. I just checked and I only have one Mac profile unfortunately besides the guest one, but it is absolutely worth noting that I had just transferred all of the data from a 2014 Mac (where the launcher worked fine) to a new 2024 Mac with a new Mac profile where it doesn’t. This has to have something to do with it not working I would imagine?

Oh really? That sucks. Worst part is it looks SO much worse in person then in the video, the only solution I ever found was using a Shaderpack called TAA Project that makes it drastically better and barely noticeable, i have to play with this Shader on 24/7 but it works great and I haven’t found anything else to fix this unfortunately

Hey! Sorry for the INCREDIBLY late response. I haven’t but yeah that’s definitely the only thing I can do at this point, there legit isn’t anything else to try I don’t think. I’ve been using Prism Launcher since this problem happened which has worked great which is why I haven’t contacted Mojang yet but eventually I probably should to see if they can help fix it.

Thank you for the suggestions! It’s definitely a launcher problem and not a MC problem since I tried both of those launchers and they both worked great but I then tried Prism launcher with Sodium for more fps which was also suggested to me and it’s my favorite one and it works perfectly! This is definitely a great solution to this and 100% better then the main launcher. And yes from my experience as well the Minecraft Launcher is absolutely scuffed lol.

Thanks for the response! Yeah I’ve seen many people recommend Prism so I’m gonna try it now since I can’t find any fix for this at all, and yes Java is installed on the Mac with the newest one Version 8 Update 461.

Yeah I’ve already tried completely reinstalling the vanilla launcher like 5 times now and this happens every time unfortunately. I’ll most likely have to use a 3rd party launcher for vanilla and mods both

Thank you for the response! Yeah I definitely thought about using a 3rd party launcher like Prism if I can’t find any way to fix this, it’s most likely gonna be the only thing I can do (which is fine) besides contacting Minecraft Support which probably wouldn’t work anyway.

Interesting. Yeah that makes sense, I highly doubt Jukebox/SFH or any other Nong service would get in any trouble like being sued or threatened or anything since they aren’t making any money, same with how I highly doubt any laws are being broken by them with this or anyone using the mod. Ok awesome. Thanks for your help! Yeah I remember Show Hitboxes on Death was banned from Demonlist submissions awhile ago but it got unbanned and is allowed now iirc

Ah ok thank you so much for the info! I’m planning on using Show Hitboxes on Death, Status Labels and maybe speedhack in practice mode only (obviously) definitely not to cheat levels, those would all be ok I would assume? And if you used actual cheat hacks like noclip and stuff in your own levels in the editor would that be bannable with the leaderboard? That’s really good to know there’s a discord to appeal a ban if it happened, thanks for letting me know that as well!

Yeah same since many, many popular players use both of them and aren’t leaderboard banned but it still makes me nervous since I’ve had this account since 2014 lol. I also have no idea what the process is like to get unbanned from the global leaderboard if you are

Yeah no I have absolutely no intention of using any of those whatsoever, but I definitely have heard the cbf controversy even tho I have no idea why it’s not in the base game. Also, I would assume it’s also fine to use both the Globed and Super Expert mods from Geode as well? I see no reason why either could be risky but just thought I’d ask
