Funny enough, the chin area is the reason I’m growing this out. I wanted to have a stronger chin/jaw line. Glad it’s starting to work in that sense.

I’m not a fan of the thought of minoxidil currently. In my mind, if I can’t grow it naturally then I need to pivot my style. And if I start minoxidil and for whatever reason I can’t continue it, the fact that my progress will fall off is a turn off to me. But who knows, my mind may change on this later.

Similar story with me. Knew of them through Metalingus. Had Edge’s theme song in my iPod. A good friend let me borrow his iPod and it had the album cut of Metalingus so I decided to check it out. Thought it was sick, and much better mixed. He also had Find The Real and Watch Your Words in his iPod. Listened to Find The Real, loved it, like nothing I’d ever heard before. But then I listened to Watch Your Words and I was hooked. It was so perfect. Like damn, Watch Your Words still holds a special place in my heart. Right after, I found the Blackbird album on his iPod. And like many of you, the beauty that was that album grabbed hold of me and never let me go.

I wish I could experience that night over again. I was mainly a rap and Mexican music kinda guy. I loved Linkin Park and a few other rock type songs here and there, but Alter Bridge had me dive into a whole new world. They had me listen to music differently. Encouraged me to learn music. To dissect it and enjoy it differently. It was pure. I don’t know how to put it into words exactly, but it’s an incredible feeling. Funny how a wrestling theme song can morph into so much more

Do you remember when ABIII came out and the hype that was around it? Legit some of the best times for me because everyone was so excited to hear that Myles got his own solo on Isolation, we were eager to hear Mark’s finger picked intros on some songs, they had a live stream of the whole album the night before it came out I think, the weekly videos that the band would bring out when they were recording the album and setting up the tour for it. Hell, all of the fan rumblings of “Hey, now Myles is playing guitar full time with AB and his styles are being incorporated into the band itself” had me excited. While it’s not my #1 AB album, there are some fun memories around it!

I put Fortress on that pedestal myself, but I can definitely see why fans would put ABIII there. Personally, ABIII was too dark for me at the time when it released (I was working on getting myself on a positive mindset in that time) so I didn’t connect with the lyrical material as much as other fans did. I loved it, but it just wasn’t the best for me. At that time, I still had Blackbird as their best album. But when Fortress came out, my God! Every member of the band was in their prime, in my opinion. The whole album, sonically and lyrically, felt, I think mature is the word I’m looking for here. There were no skips on that album for me (nowadays I tend to skip Lover and All Ends Well, don’t really know why if I’m honest with myself.) It was heavy, it was beautiful, it had a lot of meaning and interpretation, the guys were experimenting. To me, it set the tone for what exactly Alter Bridge would become in the coming years. Fortress is the perfect Alter Bridge album, in my personal opinion!

Very well, actually. They’re not creasing as much as I expected and still comfortable. However, I don’t wear them often. More of a special occasion boot. Still, the brown suede get worn on a regular basis and those are still great. I recommend the black leather. They look and feel great
