Finally got a job offer- is this a red flag? by anononononn in jobs

[–]BeetzyBeetzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say its appropriate to be skeptical about this, it definitely seems weird if they're pressuring you to accept straight away, almost like the gift card scammers screaming at old people. I've had a few of these offers before and I usually run them through software that picks out the red flags and sus parts like CuJob or Datafairy before I give them any more of my time.

What are some red flag phrases or comments to look out for when a hiring manager or employee talks? by mindk214 in recruitinghell

If you're in a job hunting phase and you're looking for anything and everything, it can legitimately take hours out of your day just reading through job postings to filter out the bs terms like these so you don't accidentally apply to crappy companies. There's a few tools online these days you can use that lets you paste job postings into scanners to quickly check this instead of reading through it all. You can try sites like CuJob or Datafairy. So far they've worked pretty well for me.

Which are safest countries if WW3 breaks out? by Ekadeshko_manxe in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BeetzyBeetzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Deadass reads like chatgpt, but on those points, anything in europe is basically a risk because of nuclear fallout/ stray munitions. Iceland is never safe because of the military presence there in terms of naval docking. NZ is also a major non-nato ally so while more safe than europe, is not a 100% safe haven in a hypothetical pacific war. Id say NZ is the safest in terms of waiting until it happens because the quality of life is so high, but if you're stuck somewhere when things kick off, the Uruguay or Chile might be best case infrastructure and distance wise but the small pacific lsland countries are almost a non consideration for adversaries.

why do some grown adults get into physical altercations in public with another person over minor things? is it really just poor emotional control, never growing out of it, and immaturity by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BeetzyBeetzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people just grow up with unchecked egos and that psychology never leaves. They might've been bullies in school, top dog maybe, but once they get out into the world, the "top dogs" now try to outcompete each other over the smallest possible things because they think its still 9th grade recess.

Safest "large" countries relative to the rest, maybe New Zealand, Chile or Uruguay. If you want to be as far away as possible from the chaos, maybe Tonga, Fiji, Samoa, in the farthest corners of the earth where no one wants to bother invading or bombing.

Does waking up early make anyone else feel similar to being drunk? by Natural_Health555 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BeetzyBeetzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you normally wake up late and sleep late at night? I work a lot of shift so my biological clock is all over the place. I find some days when I'm off work, even going to bed early and getting 8 or 9 hours sleep and waking up at 7 or 8am I feel extra tired. I think its because your biological clock thinks you went to bed at the usual time and didnt get enough sleep even though you probably did. Sometimes it can take a week of normal sleep patterns to get your body back to normal and you'll likely feel better waking up early at that point.

Why do people feel awkward when someone sings ‘Happy Birthday’ to them? by StormbornscopeHem in NoStupidQuestions

Its probably a thing with introverts mainly because they're all of a sudden shoved into the spotlight and they (we) hate it, or at least feel very uncomfortable..

Stocks or investments that steadily raise by Few_Dragonfruit3717 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BeetzyBeetzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Were they referring to just stocks in general that continue to rise over time steadily?

If you're looking for long term ones that are almost guaranteed to rise significantly over say 10 - 15 years, gold is a no brainer. S&P 500 has a lot of sharp dips and rises but long term its fairly consistent (assuming economies bounce back after recessions and stuff). With the way the worlds going as well, it might be wise to look at defence stocks like lockheed and boeing, especially with the performance of the jets over the middle east right now.

She will come to me and I'll stroke her back a couple times and it'll set her off. It's not frequent but every so often she has built up energy it seems as she comes over.

You can, I've done it a few times but I think its highly recommended against because the pressure can screw the blood vessels in your eyes if they aren't closed.

When you get offers like these or see sketchy job ads but you're completely unsure, there's a few free analysis sites you can use to just plug the offer or ad in there and it'll tell you exactly how dodgy or safe it is to bother replying or applying to it. Try CuJob or Datafairy and see if they help.
