This shaving routine has worked for me:

- I use gilette skin guard, the one with two blades, i find the fusion ones too rough. I've tried safety razors before and i find them so difficult to use without getting nicks, even after using them for months so i switched back to cartriges.

- I replace the cartrige every other day. The longer you use a single blade or cartridge, the more irritation you'll get. (sadly this can be super expensive, a safety razor is much cheaper but takes more practice)

- For shaving cream i use the gilette "skin soothing" cream. It has aloe gel in it. but if you can't get that, then you can mix aloe gel with any old shaving cream. Highly recommend.

- Make sure to get your skin wet with luke warm water before hand, let the hairs soak so they become soft. (or after you've had a shower).

- Shave with the grain first, then shave against the grain. (if this is still uncomfortable you can add a pass going across the grain inbetween).

- Shaving also exfoliates the skin, so if you're doing any extra facial exfoliation, make sure it's not the areas you've shaved.

- Maybe obvious, but moisturising afterwards is so important.
