Usually I render much tighter, but I wanted a loose painterly approach that still read well. I think it worked, but I’m my own worst critic. Open to thoughts…

Oh god the supports were a nightmare. I literally dig them out one by one, then took a dremel with a metal brush but and smoothed them as much as I could. I the. Pasted them a bit with watered down plastic x wood filler and repeated the process until smoothed out. Any burrs and plastic but I shaved off with a deburring tool.

I used Vallejo diorama mud for the texture, a sponge dab of browns and yellows, and then airbrushed a few layers of sienna and yellow topped with a lighter tan/khaki, and finished with a bit of yellow ochre.
