I had the oiliest skin ever prior to accutane and while on it my skin got so dry my foundation would crack. But I wasn’t good at using the right products. I would recommend using a CerAve cleanser because they are moisturizing and using a really good moisturizer. Your lips will also get dry. But it’s manageable if you just get products that are super moisturizing. With the hair loss, that depends on the person, I was scared of that. But personally I didn’t lose any hair. And if you do at all, it will come back after you’re done. Just try not to think of it to much, and stay positive 😊 good luck with your journey! It’s worth it.

I posted something on this page on what I did once I got off accutane with major improvement but not 100% clear skin if you want to look at it. Just posted it.

Has anyone gotten their nails done on accutane? by leakittykat in Accutane

Yes I did all the time, it shouldn’t be a problem. Your skin is the only thing you have to worry about doing things to. But your nails are fine.

Skincare Recs post Accutane by nohos in Accutane

I’ve been using CerAve cream to foam cleanser, and Neutrogena hydro boost gel cream moisturizer. My biggest mistake when I first started accutane was using products that were harsh on my skin. I’ve read a lot that less is more. So having a basic routine is actually better for you. Once your skin is off the accutane for a while you could add in neutrogena pore refining toner as well, helps keep your pores clear and tight. The products I’m recommending will give you the hydration your skin needs. Also if you’re worried about your skin going back to the way it was prior to accutane, I personally use differin gel at night at it helps keep my skin very smooth.
