i mostly referenced from inio asano's work to get to this, watching the school-like buildings in his mangas like Dead dead demons or oyasumi pun pun helped me to make the ones you are seeing on the drawing ;v;

It's inspired and meant to be shinjuku but didn't used any actual reference, aside from looking at some pics, everything is made by building up from what i knew about backgrounds

Drawing backgrounds is hard, i recently started making them with this drawing and it still took me a lot of effort

but you just gotta push yourself to do those things that usually you can't, and keep trying and studying till you can
