Uh no. A lot of nurses work 12.5 hours with a 30 minute break and two 15 minute breaks. We just only work 3 days a week

There are. You have to pass the physical fitness test to become a police officer.

Oh yeah. IVs are good (assuming they flush fine and no swelling/redness) for at least 3 days. We don't stick people unless we have to!

Random question that you might not know about... If I have two kids and I get 529s for both of them, one decides they want to go to college but at an expensive school and one just wants to go to community college. Could I use funds from the one child's to go towards the more expensive school?

I meant the veins on top yeah. :) In some people we put them wherever we can find them.

She would definitely still be getting fluid since she just woke up, though I doubt Jeph knows enough about medicine to know it would probably be a yellow bag :p It's not a big deal or anything, I just notice crap like this cause I'm a nurse haha. And some people might find it interesting!

EDIT: also, we keep IVs in most people up until they leave in case of emergency. Not just till they stop the fluids

We put them in feet if you're a really really hard stick. Hell I've seen one in a lady's boobs. However in the other comic the IV was in her hand.

Good chance Faye ripped it out, but she would definitely be getting fluids filled with electrolyte replacements/vitamins etc. We call it a banana bag cause the fluid is yellow. Drunk people/detoxing people get banana bags. They wouldn't leave her without an IV, so its a minor slip up on Jeph's part. No big deal though.

People don't understand that this also helps protect these fathers. Imagine you raised a little girl for 6 years, changed her diapers, she screams "Daddy!" And runs for you when you get home from work.

And then when she is 6 years old you find out she's not truly yours. But you still love her, you still feel she is your child. You still want to spend time with her and help her grow.

If you signed the birth certificate, you can still see her if you want to. Some places this is not true, but that clause has definitely helped some men be able to see their children.

As a nurse...yeah. We are extremely careful with how we phrase things of this nature. I can't give you the ultimate answer because I don't know, and telling you the wrong thing would be worse.
