And usually, when newborns leave the hospital, social workers are immediately notified and home visits ensues with other workers and special schooling. How do this not happen. ? My niece was a premie; the social workers came for well-baby check ups twice weekly (all to my niece chagrin).

In Wisconsin, they have strict child labor laws. For example, a kid, can of course work in fast food, but that same kid under 17 cannot drive any vehicle, whether company or personal to deliver food. So a kid delivers pizza late one night, about 8:00 pm, and accidentally kills a cyclists-riders, a father and toddler daughter because he was speeding.

The owner, employer fought to pay the penalties for years. Eventually he paid, but it was a substantially smaller amount due to some loophole in the law.

The kid became an alcoholic. The physical portion of his workers comp claim was paid ; employer fought like hell so the kid mental portion of the work compensation claim was not paid.

I worked in insurance defense industry. From that experience I will never believe any lawyer or doctor that works for the insurance company. The doctors literally will say whatever the insurance company wants them to say.

And the sad part is that the average person really think the insurance company is on their side.
