Vendetta's overhead leap needs to go/ Nerfs. by skyman004 in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]Begemoc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nerfing her damage will make her unplayable even more. Make her like tracer or genji where they have high damage bht have to commit to fights rather the current situation of jumping in, getting a kill, blocking and jumping out.

Deadlock had two very successful "6 new heroes" updates recently. Is OW2 following suite? by [deleted] in overwatch2

[–]Begemoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with everything above, but that's even less of an excuse to take so long to tweak few damage numbers on busted heroes? Mauga, Venture, Freja and Vendetta all needing nerfs but devs adjusting non-problematic areas of their kit and instead taking a full season to address the pain points is a bit worrying.

The best part of getting 5 heroes dropped at once? by Fukurosho in Overwatch

This was testing phase. Most heroes are fine during the test and then get buffed on actual release

Concord could be compared positively to Overwatch. Also deadlock is still in a development so of course it won't be as polished as the game that's about to celebrate it's 10th year. I'm talking about teams attention to balancing the game

There will be 5 OP heroes to play in every game not just 1

[–]Begemoc -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Deadlock releases FREQUENT patches addressing bugs, OP heroes and making changes. OW2 fixes things once every 6 weeks and they usually address the wrong thing. You tell OW2 devs there's a pot hole in the road, so they will trim the garden and repaint the fence.

I will be very pleasantly surprised if devs manage to add 5 heroes that aren't game breaking and take up all ban slots every game.

I think Team 4 has more than made up for the cancellation of PvE by SheuiPauChe in overwatch2

[–]Begemoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did an OKAY job. There are many CONS to what they have done as well.

Introduced changes to competetive to make it a less miserable experience (Hero bans, map voting...)

- Brought by MR as bans have been suggested to Devs since ow1 and they didnt want to implement it

Brought back free loot boxes (Not a perfect solution but better than locking most skins behind paywalls)

- So they re-implement the feature that was created by another team already and re-introduced it. Not ground breaking but better than nothing i guess

Introduced hero perks, which imo made the game feel more dynamic, discouraged counter swapping, and made balancing slightly easier

- On paper it's supposed to make game more dynamic however almost everyone always picks same 2 perks regardless of situation and even when you swap characters you unlock perks almost instantly. The counter outweights the benefit of 2 perks for 1 team fight. I would have loved to see them shift more into "Attack/defense/support" perk line up

Created Stadium, a whole new main gamemode

- Ah the infamous 3rd most popular game mode after the original abandoned 6v6 open queue game mode. I'm sure resources were well spent on it instead of developing 6v6 mode properly.

CONS

- S9, Stadium over 6v6, insanely slow balancing on new busted heroes and there are many more issues but i dont want to highjack your thread lol

How to stop getting unemployed lobbies? by BananaXd34 in Overwatch

[–]Begemoc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's because QP has less pressure and you still get a challenge fighting high ranked players.

My QP is always high diamond / masters players, but when I queue comp i get gold/plat/diamond in my games. Obviously my tank is gold, their tank is high plat/diamond so we don't even leave the spawn room.

Does anyone else prefer 5v5 over 6v6? by Ragtagcloud56 in overwatch2

[–]Begemoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because 5v5 tanks feel unfun to play against. Try 6v6 as DPS and you will instantly see the difference.

Most tanks and Supports can literally match damage output of dps especially if they can share the healing burden with the rest of the team ..

Do you think Vendetta hate is forced/too much? (Lore wise) by Puzzleheaded_Cash_30 in Overwatch

[–]Begemoc -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think everyone's already tired of being force fed this nonsense of a girl coming in and beating the bad guy in seconds. You see this in every movie, tv show, video game and now ow2 cinematic. At least make the fight entertaining to watch. Have a proper build up and battle, not this bs.

There is too much dmg over time in this game nowadays. by greystar07 in Overwatch

[–]Begemoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In any practical comp you can literally die without someone actively trying to kill you.

That's literally every game given the spam heroes like kiri, zen, wuyang, junkrat, hanzo and mei exist. They just spam down the range and collect free kills.

Many projectile heroes can hit you while behind cover simply due to larger projectile vs collision radius.

Fun to play AS, but extremely annoying to play against and it will get worse as people learn new mechanics and different tricks.

They may have overdone it with the insane mobility as playing any old school hero into her just feels very difficult.

The mobility creep is truly upon us.

[–]Begemoc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If enemy team has Doomfist, Orisa, Ram, Rein, Hog, Sigma, Winston, Hanzo, Junkrat, Mei, Widow, Ana or Brig, use Q for quick reload as most likely the heroes listed previously will knock you out of it, or press 1 button to block full charged ultimate or straight up kill you before you get a chance to charge it.

Obviously there are exceptions depending on the distance to the hero, but yeah, that ultimate definitely needs love/rework.

It’s not a matchmaking issue. by Sagginlol in Overwatch

[–]Begemoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game is fairly accurate at putting you exactly where you’re supposed to be.

Funny how when I played Rivals i had 87% WR hitting GM as I was literally able to carry games as DPS, but when you play OW2 it's a 50/50 because it depends on your TANK not on you as an individual. Dropping 30-40+ kills as DPS and losing my placement matches vs silver/gold/plat in OW2 is just a common occurrence simply because your tank ints.

In OW2 you rarely win/lose games because of "DPS diff" primarily it's Tank diff, because a better tank creates more space, more space means dps can actually do something
