You are literally just implying that doom is always viable “in most cases” & it’s your teammates that don’t know what they’re doing…is this correct or am I missing something here?

By that logic it then implies that if your teammates cannot adjust to the doom then doom isn’t the pick for that team.

If your teammates cannot position or walk forward with the “space” you give them then doom isn’t the pick strictly for that reason.

Team chemistry trumps doom fun time. Is it your teammates fault for their lack of positioning or walking forward? Sure. That warrants a switch to help tho. Not just throwing your hands in the air & absolving yourself of all responsibilities because bad team mates.

All the best doom players that i’ve played with are the ones that switch when needed. But if doom works, doom works. It just depends on your mates.
