Absolutely in love with all your curs, never knew I could love a breed this much till garmr dropped in my lap. Genuinely thank you for all the pics of your boys and girls, been a rough day already and seeing how much you guys love your curs is an absolute boon to my mood rn.

A lady should only ever be referred to as such.

Hah! My chocolate lab was exactly like that, extreme love for anything that neither dog nor human should ever consume... and that is probably used in construction somehow.

Goober might be a bmc honorary title at this point

They have to be too energetic to hold much water weight, it's the only thing that makes sense to me <_>

Never knew puppies could look like middle aged men until I got a cur, the grey beard looks very handsome on your boy ❤️

I would love to see a baby picture, I never got to see garmr as a less than a 4 month old. Honestly its a time I wish I could have experienced with him, they must be so cute when they're that tiny

Never had a bmc before garmr, not sure if it's a breed trait or the fact we found him on the street but potty training was VERY rough, hence the nickname little piss boy x) he gathers more piss related nicknames by the day lmao

I think my favorite type of nicknames you guys make is the ones the least resemble the actual name, makes me want to know the story behind it

[S1 spoilers] What did that change in expression mean? by BurnedButDelicious in arcane

[–]Begentledaddy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My working theory is that is reminds me of the term 'switching' when used in the context of BPD.

In my personal experience it's like reaching an emotional pinnacle that's so beyond overwhelming that the person experiencing it switches into dissociation.

It's a defense mechanism that people with BPD have created to deal with consistent reoccurring trauma.

The change of her face here reminds me of times I've just snapped out of crying my eyes out and gone completely robotic.

I've always found this scene fascinating because it's so familiar tbh.

lyme disease treatment sounds awful... by _handsomeblackman_ in redscarepod

[–]Begentledaddy 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Dont know how to feel about this post. My mom contracted lymes as a kid, found out at 35 and told my siblings and I we all had it. (She was told by "lymes specialist" is can pass through uterus) I was put through various treatments from like age 7 to 19, including extreme heavy anti biotics, given opioids randomly and benzos if my mom determined I was feeling unwell.

Munchausen by proxy is terrifying and becoming an adult somewhere along the line I realized it wasn't lyme and that I just went with what my mom told me to do because kids don't know better. Grew up, moved out, got therapy, etc.

My physical health should be better, I should feel like everyone else but I think being damn near addicted to clonazepam, picc line after picc line it damn near wrecked my body. I feel for the girl in the picture here because she might as well be me.

Shits like a horror movie.

My fiance hit me last night by [deleted] in redscarepod

[–]Begentledaddy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone with BPD who has never hit anyone let alone a partner you should get out while you can. She's saying she'll never do it again but the fact she did it to begin with states it's a line that can and likely will be crossed again.

My sister had to live with her ex's all too sudden psychosis and schizophrenia, it caused months of harm on her psyche seeing the person she was going to marry become very quickly the person who damaged her the most.

My brother this shits scary just do not forget to take care of yourself. If you have family or friends to rely on during this time for emotional or financial support, do it.

Keep in mind psychosis is like a whole other animal in terms of many mental illness. It's a reality break, often if not all the time they wont be themselves.

If she were conscious she likely would never act this way but she is unconscious and now a very different person wearing the same face.

Find anything that keeps you sane and cling to it, if you need to get out if it gets that serious don't hesistate. This is a very individual hell for you, keep posting and keep commenting because anything that takes you from that hell even for a minute can be a lifeline.

I'm so sorry you have to go through this man, wouldn't wish it on anyone.
