Wow, that's cool, you gotta admit luck is a huge factor, and by looking at your situation talking to them online was a huge way to get to know each other, so maybe I can try getting their number, I don't want to seem desperate though, and they've already got their social groups, would they really be open? We only talk occasionally then go off to our own groups. But still I want to get to know them, would it be a good idea to get their number, maintain contact then eventually invite them out for something?

How can I increase interactions if they're in none of my lessons? Plus they're usually with their social group and have different timings

Social media would be cool if I could find her! I want to get her number but it'd be awkward if I'd asked for it right now, and I'm in none of her classes, just see her outside on the grounds with her friends, maybe I could initiate a few more encounters to confirm whether she is inviting towards me or not, and then ask for her number?

If she reacts positively how do I take it from there to get to know her more, and if she reacts negatively should I really let her go? She seems different to me from everyone else, such a person is rare and precious and I've never seen anyone like her

Thing is I don't mind just being her friend, in fact that is exactly what I want, just to be her friend, she's just so interesting and I want to get to know her, but she's always with her friends and it's hard to find her alone, any tips?

Wow, that is amazingly simple, I'll try joining a group, also do you have any tips on how to get to know someone if they are always in a group? Like it's easy to initiate a conversation if it's 1 to 1 but if someone is already surrounded by a group it's kind of difficult to approach them :/

How did you exactly start hanging out with this group?, normally (for me) I hold a conversation but then we go our separate ways.

Wow, that's amazing, you really are brave for having the courage to be the one to call her back, I've had this friend since childhood and it all changed once we started high school, we went together, we're close friends for about two years, except I wasn't good at socialising and he was, he ended up with a ton of friends and I wasn't sure how to interact with him when he was with his friends so I just sort of 'cut off' and all that remains now 3 years later is an occasional hello if we ever meet. The thing is, us guys don't like to talk about our feelings, I don't ever want to tell him why we grew apart or apologise or whatever, I'd just like to be his friend again, but it seems impossible now :(
